When She Was Once Happy

Drowning

      "She said to meet her in front of the pool." Lucy said to herself as the moonlight shone upon her face. "Hey!" Michelle whispered. Startling Lucy, she turned away. All of a sudden, everything went black as Lucy's breath suffocated from the lack of air. Her head was shoved into a pillowcase. She slowly fell to the ground, unconscious.

"She's waking up." A girl kicked her in the stomach. Lucy's eyes shot open. Trying to speak, Lucy realized that her mouth was taped shut. Lucy felt a tug of resistance behind her. She looked behind her back and saw that her hands were tied up. "You don't belong here! Your nothing but a pest. A nuance. You have no right walking in the school acting like your friends with everyone!"

Lucy attempted to speak, but failed. "Awh...does it wanna talk." Desperately, Lucy nodded. Michelle sighed, placing a hand on her hip. "Fine." She harshly ripped the duct tape of her mouth, collecting a couple of hairs. Lucy's upper lip became red.

"I am not trying to do anything here! I'm just trying to fit in and make friends." Michelle rolled her eyes. "Fit in?" Michelle laughed and then glared at Lucy with a smirk. "You wouldn't be able to fit in with a herd of cows even if you tried." Lucy but her lip back, to prevent tears from escaping. "And your so-called-friends are only being your friend out of pity!" Michelle smirked.

"Now your going to jump into that pool!" Lucy's eyes widened with terror. "W-what?" Michelle's smirk went away and her face became angry. She picked a huge strand of Lucy's hair up, making Lucy be hung in mid air. "Did I stutter?" Michelle grinded her teeth. Lucy shook her head. "Good!" She tossed Lucy on the cold,c concrete ground, making a couple of bruises and scrapes appear.

"But, I don't wanna!" Michelle glared at her disobedience. "You better!" She growled back. Tears started streaming down her face, "but why?!" Michelle smirked, "cuz your nothing." Lucy's heart ached in pain. "I am not nothing!" Lucy attempted to stand on her feet, however, fell back down with wobbly legs. "Oh really? Then how come no one even cares about you?"
Lucy glared at her with anger and confusion in her eyes. "Lots of people care about me!" Michelle just laughed.
"Honey Honey Honey....they pity you!"
Lucy shook her head in disbelief, "YOU'RE WRONG!" Her eyes clenched shut as more tears rolled down her cheeks. Michelle slowly approached Lucy. "Oh yea? Am I now?!" She started Kicked Lucy in the stomach, making her scoot back each time. To her, Lucy looked like one of those cans you kick in kick the can.
Suddenly, Michelle's kick knocked Lucy off into the water. Lucy swallowed some water as everything faded into a blur.

Goodbye...
I'd never thought it would end like this...

Her eyes struggled to remain open, as they flinched shut. She continued to float to the bottom of the pool. The 3 girls glanced at the reflection through the pool and laughed, walking away.
