The time on the clock hasn't even started yet, but it just seemed like everything was happening so quickly. As if the day turned into Barry Allen, and started running by in a flash: just leaving everything and everyone behind its path. Even before the repetitive chanting of "Lets go Vipers!", the sun was already being set by the hands of God. The star just kept falling farther down. Deeper and deeper into the west until no one could see anyone or anything. The only source of light, at that time, was playing a childish game of hide and go seek. Everyone went blind into the darkness only getting light from the snapchat cameras on their phones, and the bold, soothing light from the new moon. You can only hear the repetitive chanting and stomping and clapping and shouting and celebrating of our overly energetic school. You can only feel our school pride as if we poured our heart and soul into every syllable of "VI•PER". The football field's lights flickered on simultaneously, one by one, another and then another. Just seeing all the different lights and flashes made the entire school feel reborn and fresh by the fall breeze on a new autumn day. Just seeing and hearing everyone go in such awe and dazzle. Just seeing and hearing all the new incoming freshmen pack the bleachers to the edge expecting to feel this feeling of new like everyone else. Leaving this as the final gathering to admit to "maturity". Leaving behind pathetic middle school rivalries, and entering a new school year full of a hell of a lot more stress and competition. Becoming a problematic teenager is the definition of this reborn that the freshmen beg for each year.

Although she was already problematic enough and had already seen everyone as annoying yet loving, she sat on the stairs of the bleachers with her best friends: Naomi Tran and Harper Rose.

She found an amazing group of friends that had stayed by her side all this time. They were people who she trusted. Just doing their typical chitchat. They all sat together, leaning on each other. Forming a perfect tight friendship. An unbreakable bond that would last memories for a lifetime.

Violet just went with the crowd though. She never understood why. She had always thought that if she wanted something, it's from her own opinion: no one else would influence her to do anything. She just did whatever was normal to her and didn't notice her surroundings. People get crushes, Violet gets crushes. People get boyfriends or girlfriends, Violet gets a boyfriend. People get heartbroken from said boyfriend or girlfriend, Violet gets heartbroken by her boyfriend. It all seemed normal for everyone to experience this love and hurt. Violet Park thought everything was normal.

The Vandegrift Marching Band appeared from the opposite side of the football field and started hitting and playing to a beat. Hyping up the school even more to see this years football team. School sprit is definitely the number one priority of Vandegrift High. The chanting and loud sounds still went on. Repetitively.

"This pep rally would never end." Harper leaned into Violet's ear to speak over the loud excess noise.

Violet leans back to Harper's ear, "Oh my God, you noticed too?" With her phone in her hand, like always, she clicked the power button to take a glimpse at the time. "The sun has been down for an hour already."

"Whatt? No—" Harper looks over Violet's shoulder as she shows him the time. "they have been chanting the school's name for more than an hour straight." His eyebrows furrowed with annoyance.

"Where's Naomi?" Violet says as she constantly peeks at her phone's lock screen.

"She had went to go get popcorn." Harper said quickly at the sound of Naomi as if her name ringed in his head like an enchanting lullaby.

Violet clicks her phone on and off.
