The morning was a beautiful one. We said our goodbyes to Houglas and O'ssley, as they disappeared in the horizon followed by the remaining men from the yesterday's battle. Stella and I haven't spoken as we packed our tents and extinguished the fire. I felt a bit awkward, and was glad when Stella finally spoke.
"The battle is over. Where should we go now? An old forest to catch some Monsters?" Even though I loved capturing new Monsters, I could tell Stella didn't feel the same. It seemed like it bored her after a while.
"Actually, I've been thinking we could maybe attend the LaCroc Tournament at Turlley city about twenty miles east. It starts in five days. Dad and I used to go there every year, willing the Grizzled Falcons to win, until he, y'know. I've never been since, mum ain't a tennis fan." "Great idea." Stella flashes me a smile. "Let's go. I've never been myself, but I have heard about it from a few of my past boyfriends." I only just managed to keep my face from showing any emotion and surprise. Of course she had boyfriends. She's pretty, has a great personality, and isn't a loser like me.
Followed by our Monsters, except for Bloomskips and Komocat, who refused to walk with us, we set off to the east.
"You see those?" Stella suddenly says, and I nod. There's some sort of group of Monsters about twenty metres before us. I don't recognize them, but Stella apparently does.
"Oh my gosh!" She suddenly shouts with excitement. "Wild Laomu!" The name doesn't sound familiar. "They any good?" I ask, scanning the Monsters with my eyes. They were tall and standing on two hoove feet. Their hands were man like, ending with five fingers. Their fur ranged from colours of brown to white, and they had two long horns growing out of their goat like heads. Some of the upright Monsters had a beard, white like marble, and some had long, pointed ears. One of the Laomu caught my attention, standing at the front of the pack as if waiting to greet us. What was so interesting about it, was the long, purple and green mottled cloak it wore on its body, and it's wooden staff, the top ending in tree roots trimmed into a neat ball.
"You kiddin'? Laomu's are one of the best natures!" I don't show much emotion. "Cool." I say, my voice seemingly bored. "They're legendaries." Stella adds, and that instantly catches my attention.
"You think we could catch one or two?" "No chance." Stella says, already shaking her head before I finish the question. "They're very intelligent and, well...just see for yourself." She says, pointing at my Monstagram.
"Oh, right!" I waste no more time as we slowly walk down the hill to meet the Laomu.
"Laomu. Adult stage. Level 75. Nature and magic legendary Monster. Pack status: Leader. Laomu are intelligent, peaceful, yet dangerous creatures. They posess the ability to both heal their allies, and hurt the enemy with powerful status effects. Their fast and healthy, and can protect their pack with powerful spells. The pack has very strict rules, and only seventeen members can live in one pack. If there's any more, the remaining and the weakest ones will be banished.
The leader, also called a Karithua, wears a purple and green cloak made from an unknown material. Only the Karithua is allowed to have the Laomu Staff, carved by Jenson, a Doctor Hazard who lives in the Dark Plains. A Laomu without the protection of a Karithua is pretty much useless, unable to protect itself from predators." Almost as soon as the Monstagram stops speaking, the Karithua only about seven metres before us speaks up.
