A positive introduction everyone has to read

At some point in our lives, we've looked in the mirror and thought 'I hate the way I look' and in order to change it people do a lot of things. There are people who undergo plastic surgery because they believe there is something wrong with how their body looks, people who wear makeup to hide their imperfect faces and people who follow a strict diet simply because being fat is not an option in our society. Screw that!

Your body is not perfect. My body is not perfect. The models who seemingly have those gorgeous bodies have a lot of imperfections. And you know what? That is totally fine. You were not born to have a perfect body, you were born to be real. You were born to be yourself.

Nonetheless, you are beautiful!

I don't have to see how you look like to know that you are very attractive. Everyone is. I don't care if you're tall, skinny, chubby, short or overweight. I don't care if you're Caucasian, Afro-American, Latin or Asian. I don't care if you've got freckles, stretch marks, scars, acne, glasses or crooked teeth. I don't care if you weren't the Prom King or Queen in your high school or if you weren't part of the cheerleading squad or the football team. I don't care if you look nothing like the Victoria's Secret models or the Calvin Klein guys. Because none of this matters.

You are who you are. You are unique. You are limited edition. Don't try to be someone you're not, because then you wouldn't be the best version of yourself – you'd be a copy of others and copies never shine as bright as the original.

Everyone is different so why do people have the tendency to compare people with each other? Why do we have this pre-conceited idea that tall and skinny girls and muscular guys with a six-pack are the attractive ones and the rest of us is not? It doesn't make any sense.

Together, we can change beauty standards. I'm counting on you to help me with this movement! Write a story where your main character doesn't fit into the beauty standards society has taught us were "right".
