Normal. People judge when you're not normal or they think you're weird or geeky in my case. But the one place I can avoid all of my troubles. The beach. The sea that surrounds it. It always makes my problems seem to melt away.

Today was a rough day of school. Everyone seemed to be extra jerky today. I was shoved into lockers and punched. Yeah I got into a fight. It happened like this:

I was walking down the hall thinking about the test I have next class. I was so glad it is Friday but everyone else seemed extremely angry or mad. Out of nowhere I was shoved into a locker really hard. I winced at the impact.
It was one of the mean girls. She has bleach blonde hair, brown eyes, and a fierce look on her face. A lot of the cute guys like her which always seemed to happen, especially when you like them and your enemy gets him.
"What do you want Haylee?" I asked trying not to sound nervous. "This" she said with a shout and decked me hard in the face. My vision had stars in it but I knew I couldn't retaliate. She then kicked me in the stomach knocking the air right out of my lungs. "Why?" I gasped trying to get some oxygen.
"I heard that you were flirting with TJ at lunch." And with that she kicked me over and over again. I heard a classroom door open but wasn't sure if it was in my head or not. A baldish guy with a blue polo and khaki pants came in and got her off of me not without a few more kicks, one to the stomach, and one to the face.
I could feel blood dripping down my face as Mez helped me up. He took me to the nurses office before sending me to the office with Haylee. My wounds were cleaned and I was given an ice pack for my head. Mez then took me to the principle's office. I heard Haylee telling nonsense about how the fight happened and I knew I would have to clear that up.
"Ms. Stein... thanks for joining us but I'm afraid I have all the information I need." I was then freaking out I can't be suspended I have a clean record that I can't break. "Sir do you want to hear my side of the story" he needs to know the truth. "No I'm sorry Ms.Stein but if you attack a innocent student you can't talk your way out of it. You are suspended for a month and I'm calling your mom to come get you."
That isn't fair. I can't wait till I tell my mom what happened she'll fight this suspension. "Ms. Harp you may leave now." As she left she said to where only I could hear it " he's mine."

And that's where I'm at right now waiting for my mom to come pick me up. Mr.Mez already left shaking his head at my principals stupidity how could he possibly believe I started that fight. If I knew I'd be suspended I would've threw a few swings back. I was tuning out my principal's lecture and just stared out the window where I could see a pond.
When my mom came in I looked up and saw a disappointed look on her face. She grabbed me by the back of the neck and took me to the car. "So what actually happened?" I looked at my mom and said " she attacked me because I was talking to TJ who has been my friend since kindergarten and then she told the principal that I attacked her out of spite and he believed her and didn't hear my side of it."
My mom nodded and took my home. When we got home I went to my room and changed into a pair of aqua sport shorts and a bright orange tank top. "Mom can I go on a jog?" I asked hoping she'll let me go so I can clear my head. "Sure"  I heard my mom shout from her office. So I ran out the front door. People will probably think I'm skipping school but at the moment I didn't care.
I sprinted down the road and to the beach. I know I said a jog but my mom doesn't like it when I'm at the beach and well it'll clear my head of my worries for a little bit. I got to the sand took off my flip flops and ran into the ocean no looking back as soon as I was deep enough to dive in I did with my open since the salt water doesn't bother my eyes.
I swam to the depths of the ocean and when I couldn't hold my breathe anymore I tried to swim up ,but I couldn't. I looked to see that my sport shorts were somehow wedged between to rocks. I jerked it and pulled on it trying to get it out but I couldn't. I couldn't hold my breathe anymore so I gasped not meaning to and water filled my lungs. But something was odd about it. I can breathe.
Panic went away and my head started to feel normal and not like it was going to blow up. Once I had a lot of oxygen in my lungs I could start focusing on getting my pants unstuck. I lifted the rock and it moved allowing me to start heading back to shore. Once I got there I got out of the water and was instantly dry. So I then put my flip flops on and went home. I didn't realize it was dark until I reached the door of my house and walked in to a panicked mother in the living room on the phone with who knows who.
"Mom" I said kinda worried I'd get yelled at for getting back so late. She came and hugged me then told me to go get cleaned up so we can eat dinner. I ran upstairs changed into pajamas and sat with my mom on the couch eating some dinosaur chicken nuggets and tater tots while enjoying the Disney movie Hercules.
