May The Best One Win (Fan Fiction)

Concept belongs to Suzanne Collins. I just made up extra names, and put my own take on it.

*Introduction*

  On the west side of what used to be North America, nestled in the Rocky Mountains, is the city of Tasdem. Formed around the time of their bitter rival, Panem, The two cities share an alike city layout. An advanced, outstandingly-rich Center, with districts surrounding it. The people of Tasdem can't stand Panem, causing a very gruesome and bloody war that raged on for many years. But that is put behind Tasdem's history now. For a sort of reminder, every two years the 'Survive or Die Match' is held. Two people between the ages of 13 and 19 must be sent out from each of the ten districts to compete in the match.

  Winning means enough resources for your district to live comfortably until the time comes again.

  Losing means absolute death.

  Does this seem brutal? Well, it is survive or die afterall. May the best one win!
