The night is dark and cold as a slim moon looks down ,up in the distant sky.  A single soul could of been seen running down the darkened alleyway of the dimly light city. The young woman's face was taunt with fear and horror as she ran her breath resounding in the night. She passes the muddled mass of cloth, of a beggar. Not a uncommon sight for the city and she passes him without another thought.

She looks backward over her shoulder, though nothing is seen. A dark cloud holding the promise of rain suddenly covers the moon, depleting what little light it had been sending down.

The woman's face contorts into one of deeper fear and dread as she turns a corner running into a dead end. Quickly she goes to turn around and in her haste she bumps into the tall figure of a man mere inches away from her in the first place. The recoil sends her falling back and she thumps to the ground. She holds one hand up as a form of weak defense as she look up at the tall hooded figure draped in a cloak.

How? How had this monster caught up to her so quickly?! Just a few seconds ago he had been no where in sight. Or maybe her eyes just had seen what they wanted to for that moment. Who knows?

Strange shadows leap across his face, hiding mot of it except for his crazed smile. Thunder rolls and lighting strikes lighting up this figure slightly more... just so she can see the gleam of the knife he holds in his hand.

Her screams seem to correlate with the thunder and it drowns her cries of help out completely. Slowly it begins to rain, as if the sky was crying for the lost of such a young life. The sence the police would find the next morning sent shivers threw their force and they added the woman to the list of victims.

Prehaps the most bone chilling part wasn't the fact that there was a list of victims. Or even the fact that no evidence or witness are ever found. Perhaps it was the way the bodies are always found. The way they all ending up facing the sky, mouth open as if calling out something important. Prehaps the way the arms all seemed to fold the same way on all the bodies, as if the attacker enjoyed turning the bodies into fine works of art. No, its most likely none of these. It was likely the wings. Everybody that was found would wear a pair of blood wings, as if it was painted into the ground where they had fallen. As if the blood wings would fly the corpse right up to heaven... It was the blood wings that helped determine what to call this case.
