Log Horizon Fanfic (my first story ever)

Log Horizon

It was a normal day at school. The teachers taught boring classes, ate lunch with my friends, and headed home after my last class. Little did I know my entire life would change on this day. I finished my homework and plugged in my NovaSphere, logged in, and the game started. I went hunting alone as I am not comfortable around other players. The hunt was different somehow, I couldn't put my finger on it though. After I finished the hunt and sold my drops, I opened the gamer menu and hit the logout button, but it didn't work. I got worried and tried to contact my friends but they were not online and I realized that I am trapped inside a game.

I talked with many other players and noticed that they all had the same problem as I did. I started thinking that maybe everybody logged in is stuck as well. I started to panic, but managed to calm myself down after a few minuted. I decided to explore and see if there is anything different and if I could find a way for everybody to escape. I wandered around the city taking mental notes of all the differences and it suddenly hit me. This must be the new expansion pack for the game.

I already know all about the expansion pack because I read up on it before I installed it. I can't believe that it also trapped everybody inside the game. I became slightly upset that I have no idea who anybody is inside the game. I'm all alone in this right now. I sat near the tree in the center of the city and noticed that a couple people were meeting up. One looks like a mage and the other a knight. I decided that I should make as many allies as possible if I wanted to survive this.

I walked up to them and introduced myself. I explained that I would need some allies if I wanted to survive the game and we agreed to form a party. The robed mage is named Shiro and the knight is named Naotsugu. They seemed like nice people, so I felt comfortable around them.

After discussing what happened, we decided to go collect information to know more about the city. We left the tree and started to walk around. Shiro mentioned how all the buildings and surroundings all looked familiar. He took something out of his bag and it was a summoner from a super high-level quest and i questioned him about it. He said he used to be in a group and it disbanded a long time ago. We continued walking and when we walked over a bridge, a rock flew passed my face and we all looked at the person who threw the rock and Shiro-san yelled a bit surprised and said that he knew that person. By the looks of it, that person is in the assassin class and he is dressed like a ninja. As soon as we got there Naotsugu asked Akatsuki if he is an open pervert or a closet pervert. Akatsuki took off his mask and in a girl's voice asked Shiro-san if he had an appearance changing potion. We were all shocked that Akatsuki is actually a girl. Shiro-san agreed to give Akatsuki the potion and she went behind a wall and drank the potion. Naotsugu, of course, tried to peep. Shiro-san prevented it by grabbing the back of Naotsugu armor. We saw a flash of pink light from behind the wall and Akatsuki walked out from behind being much shorter and actually a girl now. Naotsugu asked if Akatsuki adjusted her height closer to her actual height and she said that she did. That just added to my shock.

Akatsuki bowed on one knee that she is indebted to Shiro-san and is asking how she could repay him. Shiro-san said that he doesn't know how she should repay him. Shiro-san said that he could use some help in finding information. Akatsuki agreed and said that she would be Shiro-san's loyal ninja. I barely managed to contain my laughter because i never thought somebody would be such a hardcore roleplayer.

The Next day, we had breakfast and it did not taste like anything. I was a bit disgusted, but that is the only way we can eat now, flavorless food. Shiro-san got a sudden call and he looked surprised. He said that his friend Marie called him. She asked him if he could come over to her guild hall room. When we got there, Shiro-san got a tackle-hug from her and so did Naotsugu. I giggled a bit and Marie asked who I was. I introduced myself and explained that I have just met Shiro-san. Marie's assistant saw Akatsuki and rushed to her and hugged her tightly, then started stroking her hair being overly excited. I stood to the side feeling a bit left out since I don't know anybody here and I'm obviously not as skilled as everybody else.
