"Don't you 'ach' me, and watch your language in front of ladies!" Maeve glares up at Ian. Though she is the smallest and shortest of the group she is the most intimidating to Wren. Maeve shakes a scolding finger at all three of the 'boys', and continues her tirade. "Don't think for a moment that your too big for me to put over my knee. If you keep this up I'll give you a hiding that you'll never forget." She huffs, cheeks red and fists on her hips. "Now tell me, when did you meet Wren, how and where. I KNOW  that it must have been either late last night or early this morning, since we didn't hear a peep out of you lot for a couple of months now. Just getting word today to meet up with you."

Van tries out his persuasive ability, "Now I think everyone needs to take a deep breath and calm down. If you give us a moment we can explain everything. Alright?"

It seems to be working as the parents all pause, the moms getting calmer, the dads were already fine. Wren felt more at ease as well, while her mates relax, thinking they have this in the bag with Van's new ability as a secret weapon.

"Okay, good. Mom, Dad, Aveline and Mathis, Maeve and Locryn. How we met dear Wren is Gray had a premonition that we needed to go to the high-school here in New Haven. So we came in as teachers, unsure of why we were called to be there. It didn't take long before we found out that it was to meet our mate, we just didn't expect her to be the same woman, for all of us."

We can see the urge to speak on all of the moms' faces. Van quickly continues, "Wait, I'm not done. Not only that, but she was a human, with no understanding of the supernatural world. We had to proceed carefully. First we had to gain her trust, and get her okay with the idea of being with three men, and we had to tell her about the supernatural. So I think it is very understandable that we took some time with that."

"How long?" Maeve gritted out, eyes narrowed on Van.

He gulps, "We met Wren seven weeks ago."

She rounds onto her son, Ian. Eyes spitting fire and red hair seeming to stand on end in her fury. "SEVEN. WEEKS. Why didn't you tell me boy-o, and you better have a damn good reason!"

"MA! No cursing in front of ladies." He ties to joke but his face falls when her anger seems to grow. "Listen ma, I wasn't going to tell anyone that I found my mate, until after I got to tell my mate that she's my mate. You know what I mean? I feel that's fair."

The moms look at one another. You can tell they are having a mental conversation, trying to decide if what they just heard was truly acceptable. Aveline turns to them, "Okay. That does seem fair. And I would expect that it would take some time to be able to confess all that to a human. So, here is the question we need an answer to. When, did you mate with Wren?"

"Fuck it," Ian curses. Maeve lunges at him, getting ready to wallop him good but Locryn catches her in his arms. They can hear him murmuring softly for her to calm down, let Ian explain, and reminding her that he is a grown boy of over 300 years. She calms slightly, going soft in his arms but her eyes are still hard as steel and looking right at Ian.

Ian - 'Van, you're going to have to use your mojo. I think she'll kill me.'

Van - 'Ha, don't worry. She won't kill you because then she won't get those grandbabies they keep harping on.

Ian glares at him - 'She's got sixteen other children she can get babies from, you've got to save me.'

Wren - 'I know your joking Van, but you really need to help. I can't let anything happen to my Ian, or you or Gray.'

"Stop talking to each other and answer my damn question!" Maeve spits out.

Van clears his throat. "Everyone stay calm. We mated Wren six weeks ago. We needed..."
