It was a cold winter night and you and Daisy, your friend were walking home, the snow fell to the ground, painting the city white.
Daisy and you were heading home from a party, it was a wild one, that left your head buzzing. The dare games were things like shots and snow diving, fun and innocent it seemed. Soon to proofed otherwise. As you arrived home, you waved your friend goodnight and headed inside, you were greeted by a happy meow coming from your cat, who happily purred and rubbed it's body against your legs. You petted the spotted feline and groaned as a spark of pain shot through your head, maybe it wasn't such a good idea to drink so much combined with those dares. Well to late for regrets, what's done, was done.
You walked upstairs and took a quick shower before heading to bed.As morning arrived, a bright ray of sunshine woke you up, groaning and turning it took you about half an hour to get up and stretch out to start your day, when you suddenly sneezed loudly, followed by a painful cough. You rubbed your throat, it felt like it was on fire. You walked to the bathroom to drink some water in hope the pain would just go away, but it didn't. In fact it got worse. You felt your world was spinning as you leaned forward against the wall, trying to keep your balance. "a hangover?" You thought and shook your head "no.. I didn't drink that much" you told yourself in your head.
You quickly found yourself a warm sweater and some sweatpants.
When finally dressed, you walked downstairs and greeted your cat just to notice no voice came out of you. great.. this too? You sighed. Some time pasted and you made yourself a comfy little spot on the couch with blankets, tissues, tea, Netflix and a personal lap warmer AKA your cat. Like this you really didn't mind being sick. It was nice actually but as the days rolled by, you just didn't get better, you tried tips from internet but in the end of the day everyone knows those things work only like 5% of the time.
Your friend was going to make an end to it, she said and had called the doctor for an appointment, she knew you didn't like going to the doctor but she was forcing you, saying it was the best for you. After long struggling against it, you finally gave in and would go the next day.As the next day came by, your friend drove you to the doctor's office. "I'm gonna leave you here" she said as the two of you entered the waiting room "I'm gonna pick you up later, okay?" She said and you nervously nodded in reply as you didn't wanna damage your voice even more. You sat down on of the comfy green chairs and looked around the room, it was pretty organized and colourful but that didn't help calm your nerves, you played with your jacket well waiting for the doctor.
A couple minutes passed before the doctor's office door opened, a female walked out, for what you could presume was another patient, she smiled and walked out the building, your eyes followed her until another voice took your attention "miss [L/N], right?" A handsome looking male stood in front of you, his skin was tanned and his hair were in dreadlocks tied back, he was wearing a doctor's coat and was holding some papers. "Y-yeah" you mentioned to squeeze out of your throat. "I'm doctor Correia dos Santos but you may call me Lucio. I'm a part time replacement for doctor Ziegler as she is aboard at the moment." He explained and you just stupidly nodded, his voice was just so smooth as chocolate, you didn't even hear what he was saying. "If you would follow me please" he leaded you into the office and sat down behind his desk well you sat down on a chair in front of it. "I heared you were having throat pains, lost voice, headaches, dizziness and sneezing, is that right?" he read it from his papiers and looked up at you to see your answer which was a nod of agreement. He continued asking questions and you nodded yes or no or sometimes tried to choke the words out.
Doctor Lucio suddenly got up and walked to your side, making your heart race and your cheeks heat up, you weren't sure if it was nervousness or something else but you hoped it wasn't obvious for the other. "Say ahh." He said and shined a small flash light into your throat as you opened your mouth, barely being able to make the ahh sound. "You aren't feeling nauseous or anything, right?" He looked at you, making you look away shyly and shaking your head as a no. "Hm. I would suggest you stay in doors, take some pills for your throat and drink enough tea. Also remember to stay as warm as possible at all times." He told you and handed you some pills, you could feel his smooth soft skin touch yours which made you blush even more, he obvious noticed this and placed his hand on your forehead which was only making it worse for you. "I would say, come back in a week and then we'll see how you are doing." He smiled warmly at you and you quickly nodded and got up "o-okay!" You squeaked out, breaking your voice and hurting your throat. Regrets. The whole trip home, you were lost in thoughts. Thinking about him.. that doctor.. Lucio.. even his name sounded perfect. "You okay [Y/N]?" Daisy asked and snapped you out of your thoughts "y-ye-.." was the only part of 'yeah' you could get out you.
