Edward's POV

I was in a white room. The Gate! I impetuously turn round to see that, thing, that took my brother all them years ago.

"Why am I hear again?" I scream at it.

Its frown turned into a beaming smile and laughed hystericly.

"You have no idea? Not a clue! You are bound by greed and gluttony, yet you don't see what you have lost. Always wanting more that what is put on your plate."

I burst outraged,

"No! I loose what I had gained! Your stupid lie of equivalent exchange, that's all it has ever been, a lie. Has it not. Everyone who wants something is given something of not an equal value."

I walk closer to it, taking quick strides.

"So I'll ask you again," I stop face to face with the beast. " Why am I here!"

It look up towards me, giving me a frown once more before it moves so its back faces me.

"I will tell you this," It rotates slowly.

"For the one who has happieness, Leaves brokenhearted, For the one who has power, is chucked asside, for the one who works endlessly, shall be given there victory." It finishes. I'm left stunned. What does it mean? However, before I can answer, I find my self lying in my bed, disorientated, sweating, panting like a hot dog. I look left to see Al, his hands on my shoulder.

"Brother, are you ok? You were yelling in your sleep!" He states worried. I look down at the bedsheets. I bring me hands to my head. The real arm is warm to the touch, the metal bringing me to a shiver. I slowly wipe them across my face and dump them on my lap and stare.

"I'm fine Al. I just had another nightmare. It's nothing to worry about." I reply shakely. He continues to stare, I could tell he would be making a conserned expression if he wasn't just a suit of armour. We sit what felt like hours.

"Ed?"

"Yeah." I answered.

"What was it about?" He asked cautiously. I hesitate.

"To be honest, I'm not enirely sure. I was..." I stop and sign. "I was at the gate." Al gasped.

"Why, how! What did it do to you?" Al threw question after question at me. I growled.

"It didn't want anything, but it wanted to leave me with an unanswered riddle."

"What was it?"

I told him what It cosisted of and what was spoken. He didn't seem to happy with it but was also confused with the riddle. What could it mean. We'd been talking for so long both of us had lost track of time. The was already rising in the sky. I look towards the clock and see it shows 6:12am. I jump up.

"Al, come on, we need to get ready and report to flame face at 7, and I haven't gotten food yet!" I commence to run around the room like a headless chicken and eventually have to walk to breakfast with my hair still loose. I hadn't realised until I get to the cantine and get called a little girl by Maes and Riza, who was already here. What a morning this has been. I quickley eat breakfast after screaming at Maes for calling me little and run up to Roy's office. Al and I come to an abrupt stop when we hear someone talking to him inside. Being the sneeky beys we are, we lean up against the door and listen in on the convosation taking place.

"Roy, I know this would be hard for you and Dad to get over, but unless I do this to keep them from not knowing, please." It sounded like a girl. She must be despret.

"Look, I know you're scared and worried, but you leaving is only going to make your father and I worried. My answer for now is no. I'm sorry (Y/N), but I can't give you my permission as colonel." He finishes. We quickley hear a chair's feet scratch against the floor and so Al and I abruptly take a seat by the wall. The door slams open and (Y/N) sprints out in tears, to distressed to notice us and she legs it out of the building. Roy runs out of his office door but stops when he realises she's already to far ahead for him to catch up. He sighs with a hand on his hip and his left palm on his forehead. He then notices us and looks shocked.

"Oh, hey boys, ready for another lead as always. Sorry about that, she's just a little emotional at the moment." He says, hoping we didn't hear anything, to which we try to hide that we did by just nodding. I wonder why (Y/N) wanted to leave, and to do what?
