Millie's POV

"Millie?" Lacey startled me from my thoughts.

"Yeah?" I picked up my sandwich, pretending to study it.

"What's wrong?" Lacey always knew whenever something was wrong. Her face showed care and I thanked her for that.

"Well..." I stopped and thought if I should really tell them. I trust them but I... I should,"I just keep thinking about him..." It felt good to admit it.

"About who?" Maddie asks as she stops reading her book.

"Listen, I never told you guys this but I used to be in..." I gulped, taking a deep breath, ready to explain a lot,"In love with this boy who lived with us. He had family issues and his mom asked my parents if he could live with us. He stayed with me in my room and everything was fine until I fell in love with him. He was my drug, he helped me get away from reality."

I looked at them, their faces showed confusion but also care. I continued,"We were very close and we did risky things but some were so risky that it... It took our relationship..."

"What happened?" Maddie and Lacey asked in unison. They were at the edge of their seats.

"I wanted to run away and before we did m-my parents caught us and they took him away from me... I never saw him again..." I wiped some tears that were trying to sneak out of my eyes,"I always have him on mind and it ruins me that I won't ever see him again..."

"I'm so sorry..." Lacey threw her arms around me and Maddie did the same. I hugged them back. I couldn't believe it. I actually told them.

"If we only knew sooner we could've helped you find him again..." Maddie trailed off. I gave her a warm smile.
"My parents would find out and it would turn to be a disaster."

"What did he look like?" Lacey asked me.

I know every trace of his nose, his perfect cheekbones and his straight jawline, and his freckles...

"Brown eyes, messy hair, funny, sweet... Maybe an angel from Heaven..." I said, describing him.

Maddie and Lacey exchanged anxious looks. They seemed to be having a silent conversation. I was so confused.

"Did you see the new boy?" Lacey asked me. She looked optimistic, I wondered why.

"Why does he matter?" I asked, her tone made me so curious.

Maddie smiled and dragged me out of my seat. What the hell was happening?

They dragged me all the way outside to the benches where a few students sat. A huge group of boys circled around a table, they seemed to be crowding someone in the middle.

When we reached the crowd I immediately saw Jaeden's face. Maddie had a crush on him for a long while now and also a lot of his fan girls.

Lacey got to the group first and she side hugged Jack who was her best friend. No she never liked Jack, she treated him like her own brother ever since she was six.

She knew the 'Pops' the most. We call their friend group the 'Pops' because they are the most popular group of boys in the whole school. They were mostly Juniors like me. Almost every girl has had a crush on them ever since.

Maddie rushed up to Jaeden and gave him a big hug. She was trying to be close as possible to Jaeden. I don't know why girls love them so much. They are just boys.

Of course I got to the group last. I had no one to hug because I didn't talk to them a lot. I just knew them but never talked.

"Hey Mil-" Jaeden started but was cut off by the boy they were crowding.

"Millie?" The voice said.

I looked to whoever said it but I was met with brown eyes.

Brown eyes. The eyes I lost myself into every time I kissed him. The ones I looked into for courage and happiness. The same brown eyes that belonged to the person I fell in love with.

Finn Wolfhard.

"Finn?" I walked past the other boys.

He was dressed in some black ripped jeans and a white Thrashers hoodie. He was wearing a black snapback over the same curly hair that I tangled my fingers in.

I walked over to where he was standing. He was studying me and I was studying him. His lips looked soft and his freckles were still there.

I carefully placed my hand on his cheek and looked him straight in the eyes,"You're actually here... After all these years you're actually alive..."

He gulped back a sob,"I missed you so much Millie..."

"I missed you too, Finn..." I said placing my other hand on his other cheek.

I leaned in and placed a soft kiss on his lips. The feeling was irresistible. I missed the way it felt. Three years without it was terrible. The feeling I craved was finally in my reach.

We broke apart and his tears were slowly streaming down his cheeks. My eyes started to water. I missed him so much...

I threw my arms around him and he lifted me up. He brushed some of my short hair with one of his hands while holding me up with the other.

He placed his forehead against mine and smiled,"I love you so much, Mills."

"I know. And I love you too."

There! They finally reunited for real. Happy now? If yes, then you're welcome.
