I was sitting in class next to Alex listening to the teacher ramble about important of having backup and allies. I can understand why he was saying it but does he seriously have to talk about it every twenty minutes. Alex looked like she was pretty interested in what he was saying but other then her everyone else was so board. I guess she was interested because this was her first day in the ' hero' classes, principle powers moved her because I have a 'good influence ' on her. I honestly don't get it, Zach and the others back in the 'sidekick' classes would have a way better influence then me. I tried to ask powers about it but she just said that Alex has some history. The bell for the next period finally rang after what felt like days. Alex packed her stuff up and started walking out the door " before you go. You'll have a test on how to battle cyborgs, computers and other electronic enemies tomorrow. Better study" that was the last thing the teacher said before leaving ' shit' I thought. Because of the teachers rambling I didn't learn a single thing about fighting robot, I felt a warm hand touch my shoulder " let me guess. You didn't listen during class and don't know a thing about robots" I turned around to see Alex with a smug look on her face " maybe " I answered she handed me her book and turned for the exit. I looked down the book she handed me to see a small sticky note ' you can copy my notes during lunch 😀' I sighed and followed her out the door.

We arrived at the changing rooms right beside the gym. We had our battle tactics practical lesson today, most of the girls had to change into more appropriate clothes before going in because contrary to what superhero out fits might say, it isn't easy to run in heels. Same goes with the boots Alex was wearing. People have also figured out that it is very easy for clothing to get distroyed when you have superpowers. So they change. Alex walked into the girls bathroom while I waited outside. In a matter of seconds I heard screaming and laughing coming from inside the girls bathroom. I saw Alex stumble over onto the floor, her stuff going every where. I ran over to her and asked if she was ok. She didn't look ok, she touched her chest area and rubbed her eyes "I'm fine" she said in a somewhat emotionless voice " no your not" I hugged her and she buried her face in my chest " what did they do?" I asked. She pulled away from me " they called me a boy" she whimpered. I stood up and pulled her up and wrapped my arms around her "it's gonna be ok" I don't know why she's sensitive about this but I won't dive in. I took off my jacket and pulled her into a little space between the wall and a locker I held one end of my jacket against the locker and the other one the wall "quickly get changed" I ordered. She blushed but complied.

Once Alex had gotten changed we went into the gym. We saw coach boomer " where have you too been " he said angrily. I just ignored him and went to line up with the others " ok today we will be playing save the citizen" the coaches voice boomed throughout the large hall.

It was a pretty boring lesson. Lash and speed were once again dominating the game " ok next to  verse these to are Alex and Warren" we looked at each other confused. I asked why he had put us together but he just said "special orders from principle powers" despite not wanting to do it we got up anyway and entered the ring. We stood opposite the two smiling idiots holding our hands up in a fighting stance waiting for coaches orders "GO" he yelled and we ran. I saw Alex suddenly disappear from plain sight ' wait does she really have powers' I didn't have time to wonder as lash came running towards me. He hit me a few times before I grabbed his arm and started burning it making him instantly recoil "lash I'll take care of him. Find the boy" I grew angry at the bigots cry for his teammate. I lunged at him only to miss cause of his speed, the quick footed teen ran around me cutting off my air supply. This happened also when I fought them with Will, I fell to the ground lungs depleting of air. I thought I was done for but then I heard what could only be described as a shock wave. Speed stopped running and lash's arms retreated back to there original size "dude my powers aren- " the speedsters sentence was cut off by the sound of skin connecting with bone. I looked up to see Alex kicking speed in the face then grabbing lash's collar and smacking her head against his forehead. She looked like she was going to pass out "Warren the citizen!" The distressed girl screamed. I quickly noticed that the mannequin hanging over the grinder was getting dangerously close to it. I ran and grabbed it just before it went in before going over to Alex " hey you alright?" I asked. She looked very tipsy on her feet, she started to fall over so I dropped the mannequin and caught  her.

I was waiting outside to nurses office with anxiety ' I hope she's ok' I thought but then it suddenly hit me 'why do I care about her so much ?' I asked myself 'I've known Will and the others way longer then her so why is she so important ?' With all these question running through my head I didn't even notice Layla come up to me " hello Warren. Earth to Warren " Layla said snapping her fingers in front of me. I looked up to meet her worried gaze " you've been waiting for Alex for 3 hours. School has ended. are you ok?" I couldn't even bring myself to answer the gingers question. The door opened revealing a very sick looking Alex and the nurse "she's alright just needs some rest, would one I you mind taking her home?" The elderly nurse asked. I stood in front of them " I'll take her home " I ordered. Alex lifted her gaze from the floor and when she saw me she immediately latched onto my jacket  "Warren" I heard her whisper as she tightened her grip on my jacket. I slowly and awkwardly wrapped my hands around her while cooing in her ear.
