Lunch Break (Kakashi x Reader Part 1)

     (You are a Konoha jonin that substitutes at the academy and occasionally tutors young ninja who need help with certain skills. You have a day off today and you're spending your time working on some training.)
     Your stomach let out a huge growl. It wasn't until just now that you realized you hadn't eaten in hours, and all your training had really been wearing you out. It was time for a lunch break.
     "Hm...what is it that I want?" You pondered as you left the training grounds and headed towards the village. There was always something good to be found in Konoha, but today you were feeling particularly in the mood for some udon miso ramen. Just the thought of it was making your mouth water. The familiar sight of Ichiraku ramen came into your sight and you sped up a little. You saw four pairs of feet dangling down from the chairs and you were a little dismayed when you realized they were the feet of the village's knucklehead ninja himself and the rest of his genin friends. You couldn't tell who the fourth pair of feet belonged to though....
     You stepped inside, lifting up the curtains and you were shocked when you saw Kakashi sitting alongside the three kids. "K-kakashi!" you said, a little confused at the situation. You didn't know Kakashi had taken on a three man squad this round, usually he failed them all. "Hm," Kakashi said as he turned around lazily to look at you,"oh! y/n, it's not nice to see you again. It's been a while hasn't it?" You nodded some and peered over at the kids by his side. There was Naruto of course, surrounded by empty bowls of ramen. Next to him was Sakura, who you had always liked while you substituted at the academy, and beside her was Sasuke, looking bored as always.
     "I'm so sorry, how rude of me for not introducing my students to you," he said, clueless to the fact that they already knew you. "Hi y/n-sensei!!" Naruto shouted, nearly falling out of his chair,"long time no see huh?!" You smiled awkwardly at him and waved to the three. Sakura giggled, "Kakashi-sensei, we already know y/n! She substituted for us sometimes in the academy, it's good to see her after all this time!" You turned back to Kakashi and nodded, saying,"she's right Kakashi, you better get on top of things! Now...about this team of yours...I thought you usually failed any students you had."
     It was true. You had never seen Kakashi as the type to take on a team of genin because of his strict teachings and well...laziness. You thought he rather would have been reading that running around with a bunch of kids on missions. "Uhh...you're right about that," Kakashi said, blushing with guilt,"but these three showed great promise and I just couldn't pass them up." You sat in the seat beside him as he talked about the kids and got comfy. There was a bit of an awkward silence after you ordered your food.
     "Hey, you three should head back to the training field, now that you're well fed it's time to get back to work, the ramen is on me," Kakashi nodded at the three, motioning for them to leave. Naruto groaned but Sakura pulled him off of his chair, following behind Sasuke. It was just the two of you now, sitting next to each other. Kakashi smiled under his mask a bit and said,"they sure are a handful, but if you substituted as a teacher with them, I'm sure you know that already." You giggled, turning towards him,"you're right about that. Are you gonna head back with them now?" Secretly, you wanted him to stay here with you. You didn't get that much company aside from the kids you tutored, especially not with another jonin. And on top of that, Kakashi was so mysterious and handsome, it was always a treat to talk with him.
      Kakashi sighed,"nah...I'm need another round of food, I'm beat. Besides, how could I pass up a chance to enjoy lunch with the prettiest Kunoichi in the hidden leaf?" He playfully patted your back and you blushed like crazy. You couldn't tell if he was joking or what...but man, oh man, you were red as a beet. He slurped at the noodles in his soup while you sat there in shock. "Kakashi...," you started,"do you mean that...?" You asked. He peered up from his soup. "Hm? Oh, that you're the prettiest kunoichi in the village? Of course I mean it, all the men in Konoha are head over heels for you. You haven't heard the other jonin talking about you?"
     You blushed even more and shook your head, gasping,"no way, you're kidding me! I don't believe you...." "Oh it's true," he replied,"everyone wonders how you manage to keep looking so good after missions." He was chuckling, poking fun at the gossip people spread. You couldn't believe other people felt that way about you, but the thought of Kakashi feeling that way as well got your heart going. You were staring at him. "What, you think I'm lying?" He asked, his voice filled with playfulness."If you really don't believe me, I can prove it to you! Go on a date with me, why don't you? We can go to the midsummer festival next week. And then you'll see how many men are jealous of me for courting such a lovely lady."
      There was no way Kakashi had just asked you out on a date, but here he was, extending his hand out to you. You timidly put your hand in his and said,"Kakashi...I would really love that." A bit of you feared that he was just pulling a prank to humiliate you, but when he pulled your hand close and kissed it gingerly, a wave of ecstasy washed over you. "Good," he said, smiling through his mask, "now how about another bowl of ramen for the two of us?"
