Runi ended up winning gold. Sara in second. Runi was practically glowing on the podium as she held up her first GPF gold medal. She beat the Women's record at 230.02. Cameras flashed all around. From across the rink, I could see her glance from me to Sara below her and back to me again and then to Yuri, who was hugged up tight against me and back to Sara. Sara, as if sensing Runi staring at her, looked up and smiled.
Suddenly, Runi gathered Sara in her arms and kissed her. Yuri gasped beside me. I was in shocked too, but it was a happy shock. The crowd was silent for one second before everyone cheered. Sara and Runi pulled away, Sara in a dazed state.
"She's so happy." Yuri said smiling across the rink at Runi's direction. Runi was waving at the crowd happily.
"Yeah she is. I'm proud." I said smiling also. I couldn't wait to see what the two Yuri's were going to bring tomorrow.

~Yurio~
"Dude." Runi panted. "Those..*pant* fangirls of yours..*pant pant*are crazy." We were going sightseeing before getting stampeded by my fan base, which lead to running away which also lead to us currently hiding in a ally way.
"You're one..*pant* to fucking talk." I retorted glaring at her as I tried to catch my breath.
"Well at least I don-" She stopped herself when female voices rose near us and were talking rapidly.
"He was last spotted here."
"I found one of his hairs! He's around here somewhere."
*Sniff sniff* "Yeah I can smell him."
Runi shuddered and I sniffed my shirt.
"Yurio I have a idea." Runi whispered.
"Will it get me the fuck out of here?" I whispered back. She nodded in response. "Well spill."
"Switch jackets with me. I can pretend to be you, the girls come after me, and you run."
"Say huh? I don't want your hoodie." I said as I wrinkled my nose. She just got the hoodie freshly made after the Final when she checked social media and found out the fan girls were calling them a name. On the hoodie's front was "Sani", a combination of Runi and Sara's name.
"Well I guess I can throw you to the girls." Runi said as she stretched and moved as if she really was going to throw me. At that moment, a motorcycle came rolling up beside us and stopped. I turned to see the rider. It was Otabek. I stared in shock.
"Do you need help?" He asked in a rumbling but smooth, deep voice.
"Yep! We sure do, mister! Right after I switch jackets with my dear Yurio here and then you can make a run for it." She pulled her hoodie off and gave it to me. "Here's your chance to talk with him. So cooperate." She slyly whispered to me. I blushed slightly and took off my jacket. I handed her my jacket and put hers on.
Runi slid my jacket on and pulled the hood up to cover her hair and face. "Let's keep up a call on the phone so I can tell you when it's okay to go. Okay?" She took my phone from my jacket pocket and handed it to me. She took hers from her back pocket in her jeans. I was consciously aware of Otabek watching the display silently on his bike.
Runi made sure everything was alright before running out, past the fangirls, and crossing the street, where traffic was stopped so pedestrians could cross.
"THERE HE IS!" The girls screamed. "AFTER HIM!" Stampedes of feet on the ground started up and faded as the girls ran after Runi, leaving me staring at Otabek.
My phone rang. I jumped a little at the sound and answered it. I could hear screams, running feet, and heavy breathing through the speaker.
"YURIO I THINK..*pant pant pant* ITS SAFE TO RUN NOW!" Runi yelled. "YOU CAN G-ACK! AHHH!"
Voices filled up the speaker. "I GOT HIM! I GOT HIM!"
"YES"
"WHOO"
"Hey what a second... Yurio doesn't have boobs." Oh no.
"Hey! Don't squeeze them like that! I'm flattered and all, but could you at least take me to dinner first?" I heard Runi say.
"Hey! You're Runi Brooks! Where's Yurio?!"
"YEAH WHERE IS HE?!"
Otabek looked at me. "You coming or not?" He asked me in his low voice.
The phone was still on in my ear.
"I BET HE'S BACK WHERE WE WERE!"
"COME ON LET'S GO!"
I felt my eyes widening. I ended the call. "Yeah I'm coming." I said hurrying and threw Runi's hood on. I climbed onto the bike behind Otabek
Otabek took off his helmet and handed it to me. I took it in surprise and put it on, securing it. Otabek started the bike and soon we were zooming the streets. He takes us to Park Güell, where he parks the bike and leads me to the top of the pillars. The view is breathtaking, the city washed in the golden light of the slowly setting sun. We stand there quietly taking in the view. Otabek is the first to speak.
"I remember meeting you at Yakov's summer camp five years ago." I blinked at him in surprise.
"Hm? I don't remember that." I replied.
"I do. You were a very graceful dancer. I couldn't keep up with you. Or anyone at that matter. But I remember you. You have the unforgettable eyes of a soldier. I can never forget those eyes."
"The eyes of a soldier huh?" I wondered out loud. The wind rustled our clothing and hair.
"Yes." He continued talking about moving to different rinks, returning back to Almaty, his home, and things he liked. I listened to every word. In return, I told him things about me and the people I know.
"Why are you talking to me?" I blurted out. "I'm a rival. We shouldn't be talking and hanging out like we're friends."
"Why wouldn't I talk to you? And yes. You are a rival. And I want to be your friend. We have some things in common. Like our love for cats." He smirked lopsidedly.
"You want to be friends with me?" I asked. I wasn't sure I was hearing right.
"Yes. I like you, Yuri Plisetsky. Will you be my friend?" Otabek held out his hand. Oh how it felt like a marriage proposal.
"Yeah." I said reeling in my thoughts. "I'll like that." I took his hand and shook it. We let our hands stay that way while we watched to sun set.
"Wanna get something to eat?" Otabek asked after some moments of silence.
"Hell yeah. I'm so hungry, I could eat a fucking horse."
Otabek laughed. He had the most wonderful laugh. It was all deep and rumbly.
We walked back down from the pillars and climbed onto Otabek's motorcycle.
Otabek and I reached a restaurant where we talked about cats and music.
"You know. I do a little DJing now and then. But shhh." Otabek looked around pretending to be secretive and put a finger on his lips. "Keep it on the low." I laughed at his dorkiness. He laughed along with me.
He was a wonderful human being.
I really wish he liked me the same way I liked him.
More than a rival. More than a friend.
