As you remember in the last chapter Kayla "died" That was true. When Connor heard the news he decided to move on! Connor went to Annabeth's house and asked for her hand in marriage.

What really happened was Kayla died. Connor was devastated. He went up to the hospital as fast as his legs would take him and when he got there,he ran into Kayla's room. There he saw her dead body. He slowly walked up to her and said "Kayla, I will always love you!"Then all of a sudden the heart monitor went crazy and Nurse Ella ran in with the Doctor. They pushed Kayla's parents and Connor out of the room and did something to Kayla. Then the Doctor came out and said "it's a miracle! Kayla is alive!" Everyone was so thrilled that she was alive. Connor called Ava and everyone else. They all went up to the hospital and they all had their own time to talk to Kayla.
