I started walking to my first day at high school and I was so nervous. My palms started sweating and my books started falling out of my hands, it was so embarrassing when I go up the corridors because everyone stares and whispers. I just want to know what they were saying because, what is the point speaking about someone when they know you know they talking about you behind their back?
The bell goes, and the panic sets in! Everyone starts rushing to their classes and it felt like a stampede of zebras pushing me about and trodding on me.
Huh, so this is high school? I thought to myself.
As usual, I'm the slow one taking my time but all of a sudden my life flashed before my eyes. I opened my eyes and my head spun so hard I almost got whiplash, as my vision began to fade to black, I see a body standing next to me saying -
' I'm so sorry. Are you OK? Give me your hands, i'll help you up.' A cute Texas boy with curly hair and a perfect smile. I placed my hands into his own and noticed that they were so soft yet strong.
When he pulled me up, I finally got a better look at his face - he had chocolate brown eyes that made me melt on the inside, "Thank you..." I breathlessly said at last.
The strong boy said 'Are you OK? let me see your head, from what I saw you bumped it quite hard.' He lifts my wavy bangs and and searched my face to find any visible injury, but at that moment of time he looked into my eyes deeply and smirked, 'Whats your name?' he asked in his slightly husky voice and an arched brow. His hands left my face and he shoved them into his jean pockets, rocking on his heels back and forth.
My mouth opened and closed, I almost forgot my name I was that lost in his eyes, 'Oh, my n-name is Charlotte.' I stuttered out with a nervous smile.
'Hmm Charlotte...cute.' he said with a low chuckle.
A blush crept up my neck, dusting across my cheeks in a crimson wave, "What's your name?" I asked him politely.
He shrugged casually, "Justin but, everyone calls me JC."
As soon as I heard his name, a smile graced my lips, 'Cute.' I quoted his own words just from seconds before.
JC chuckled once again, 'Let me guess, you're new?' he smirked rather attractively.
I rolled my eyes, 'Oh em gee, how did you know?' I said sarcastically.
He laughed which made me slightly proud that I was able to make someone laugh even on my first day, 'This might be a bit forward but, Can I have your number so I can text you some time? You seem cool and you're funny so..." JC drawled out the word 'so' possibly out of feeling nervous.
'Yeah, sure..." I recited my phone number to him and he typed it into his mobile phone.
A grin spread across his face, "So, I'll see ya' around." He then nodded his head and walked away down the corridor.
I watched him as he went only to realise that I was very late to my first lesson...crap, I better get going!
