Jake
I'm running for my life, my father after me in his wolf form. He growls when he's close. I gasp and push myself harder, I cry out in pain from my recent injuries, but still push myself. Being a runt has its advantages, for example we run faster than an average adult wolf, and we are small enough to hide in small spaces. I, for once in this rare occasion, am grateful for being a runt. I stand at five feet and six inches, average for a teenage human boy. I don't want to shift, I really want to, but I'm supposed to hide my precious species, the white wolf. There's another out there, a girl, she found her mate, but hunters got to her. Some rumors say that she was pregnant and the baby died, but I don't believe them.
I was tossed out my thoughts by pain on my calf, I scream out but keep pushing. Few more steps and we'll make it, my wolf Snow said. My wolf is a girl, I don't know how I got a girl as a wolf, but I don't care. I tumble and cross the pack border that alphas can't cross. I look up and laugh, I stick my hands up and cheer, but my dad growled. That shut me up. I ran a little further into the woods, scared that he might actually cross the border. I run and run till I fall, I look up and scan the area, I sniff the air just in case I hadn't crossed a border. When I don't smell anything I look at my calf, it hurts but it's bearable. I get up using the tree for support, and start walking in a direction that goddess knows where that will take me. I sniff the air every once in a while to see if I did cross a border or not. I limp a few more miles and start to smell something strange but sweet, my wolf telling me that there's something strange out there that we need to go and look at. I walk in the direction of the strange scent, and come across a border that I can't cross.
Go on, it's alright, something good will happen, I can feel it, Snow tells me. I lift my foot up and place it down on the other side. I feel a strange rush inside of me, and my body is telling me that I belong here that this is the right pack to be in. I step over the line with my other foot and stood there. 'Should I do this?' I look back at the other side of the border and look back forward. I take my other foot and place it right next to my other foot. I hear a growl from a distance and instantly flinch, I star to turn away when I hear a voice telling me to halt. I stop my movements and turn around while looking at the ground. I don't dare to look at the wolf that's in front of me, scared that he will beat me just like everyone will.
"What are you doing in this territory, rouge?" I flinch at his authoritive tone towards me. I start to answer him but then I was hit by a smell so divine, even my cooking wasn't that good to make that scent. I smell raspberries and the woods, great combo for a smell so sweet. I look up and gasp at the most handsome man in the universe. He has brown perfectly styled, mop of hair, grey eyes that look like crystals and the sky mixed together and the most defined and handsomely sculpted face there ever is. He gasped too and strides towards me and engulfed me in his arms. Tingles spread throughout my body and it felt good. I haven't been embraced in a long time so I just stood there with my hands by my sides, and staring at the side of the guy's head.
When the guy pulled away, he looked at my disheveled form and bloody body. He gasped when he saw that I had a bitten leg. I just stood there looking at the ground, now realizing that this guy is my mate, afraid and ready for the words that will tear me down and break me forever. Rejection. I whimpered at the thought of it, my mate looked up at me and looked at me questionably. "Why the sudden whimper my dear mate?" he asked. I looked away, fearing that he might think I'm weak and pathetic. He took his hands that were on my shoulders, and placed them on my face, his thumb rubbing my stubble that grew out. Speaking of which, when was the last time I actually shaved my face? Focus Jake Snow said, interrupting my thoughts. "I-um, I w-was thinking that I'm so b-broken and t-torn, that y-you w-were going to re..." I sigh and look into his eyes, if I'm going to be rejected then fine at least no one will miss me anyways. "That you were going to reject me," I said out in a rush. He looked so taken a back, I almost let out a chuckle. Then as fate was suspected by me he started to laugh, I look at him, waiting for the words to come out of his plush, soft looking lips-no stop, he's going to reject you.
Stop thinking that way you idiot, he's going to love us, and protect us from our so called father, Snow sneered at his name, and I actually agreed to her. When my mate stopped laughing, he dropped his fun face and looked really serious, like he's a heartless business man. "I am not going to reject you, my handsome mate. As cheesy as this sounds, I'm going to cherish your presence, your beauty, your wolf, you're everything, but never will I ever reject you." And just like that, I was taken aback by his words, astonished by how he will take my breath away by every movement he will make, every evening that we will spend together, every day that we will cherish each other, just everything about him will take my breath away. I was pulled out of my thoughts again by something touching my lips, I focused and realized that his lips were on mine. He's kissing me! Oh my goddess, what do I do, do I close my eyes? Do I leave them wide open? No I close them, I saw that in a movie- will you shut up and let me take over, geez, no need to keep your boxers in a twist! I sigh and let Snow take over. My mate pulls away before anything happens between Snow and him.
Snow whimpers and tries to go into the kiss again, but mate stops her and says that they need to get to know each other before we go any further. She whimpers but huffs and gives me back control. "Hehe, sorry about that, Snow really likes you, huh mate?"
"Snow? Isn't that a girl's name?" he says, I got angry. "So what if it is, she is a girl anyways and way more powerful than you Mr. Mate"
"Wait your wolf is a girl?"
"Nah, Snow's just a name for a guy, duh she's a girl." I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. "Well them my handsome mate, my ranking is an alpha, and how is she more powerful than me?"
I gulp.
