Katerina's POV
I threw my books in my locker and slammed the door. I hoofed it in the direction I hope was to the cafeteria and got in the lunch line. When it was my turn I got a hamburger, an apple, and a juice carton. I gazed around for a second and saw Zander at a nearby table. Others stared at me as I walked towards him but I ignored it.
"Hi." I said as I took the seat next to him. God he was hot! I thought to myself. Stupid hormones. "Hey, glad you made it." he answered. Okay this was awesome! "Me too. I thought I'd get lost in this giant school."
I laughed. "It seems like that only for awhile. Soon it won't." he smiled. Nothing could ruin this lunch except eating this soggy burger.
While Zander and I chatted, I could see a girl glaring at us both out of the corner of my eye. I ignored it. Besides, I like to talk with my mate. This is the best first day of school in history.

I couldn't help but check my mate out as we chatted. She was good Luna material. I felt happy that I found her.

Katerina's POV
I suddenly had a growing unease in the pit of my stomach. Zander saw me stiffen up. "Katerina, what's wrong?" he asked me. That's what I would like to know. "I feel like something bad is going to happen." I said quietly. Lord, I felt like an idiot. "Oh." yeah. I thought I was imagining it.
Until I heard the CCCCCRRRRRRAAAAAAASSSSSSHHHHH!!!!!! of breaking glass.
