Hey guys! So I'm back from my trip (obviously) and have a chapter ready for you all. Enjoy! :)
Chapter Inspiration:
- Let It Go ~ Idina Menzel
- For the First Time in Forever ~ Kristen Bell & Idina Menzel
I couldn't fall asleep that night. Instead I resorted to reading, daydreaming, air swordfighting until three a.m. Finally, I got up and made my way to the balcony. The cool sea air greeted me happily. I shivered, but continued walking to the ledge.
I looked around and saw a light on in a room a few down. Judging by the table on the deck, it was definitely Peter's room. A lump formed in my throat, thinking back to the plan I formed earlier. It's for the best.
I swung my legs over the ledge and sat, watching the now fading stars. I took out my wand, double checking for anyone watching. Nothing. I took a deep breath and started to think up spells to practice. "Orchideous. Vermillious. Verdimillious. Expecto Patronum."
I watched in delight as flower petals, not just lilies, flowed around me. I concentrated on a powerful memory and watched as my gryphon appeared in a silvery mist. It soared around me and the area, flying gracefully and catching the moon on its form. Red and green sparks also shot out of my wand and sparkled and fuzzed around the area. I avoided Periculum because it was like fireworks, and I'd probably wake the castle up. My spells lasted for a few more minutes, adding to the beautiful Narnian sky. A beautiful sight.

I don't know when I decided to go back to sleep or how I did, but I awoke the next morning feeling a lot better after everything that had happened lately. Maybe it was sleeping in a real bed or knowing that the war was over and I was safe.
As I sat in front of my vanity and brushed my hair, I realized that today was the Pevensies' coronation. The brush clunked against the surface of table. The girl staring back at me in the mirror looked paler than normal, her eyes screamed fear, but the rest of her face was calm and expressionless.
I closed my eyes and exhaled sharply. Turning around and standing up, I made my way to the wardrobe and immediately plucked out my dress. It was a deep, blood-red with gold trimming and stitching. The sweetheart neck showed my necklace laying just below my collarbone. There were also matching slippers next to my boots. I ran a hand through my curls, trying to tame them. As I smoothed the dress down, I smiled, thinking how Gryffindor I looked.
My smile faltered, turning to a frown. You're in Narnia, after wanting to be here for a year and a half. Don't think about Hogwarts right now. I looked over at Fortis and my bow. Instead, I walked over to my vanity and opened a drawer, displaying a small, but long dagger in a sheath.
I rolled up my dress and strapped it to my outer thigh, putting a force field around it. It would hurt like hell if I had to dance with it without one. After looking myself over in the mirror once more, I walked out the door and down the hallway.
I passed a few soldiers or servants in the hallway, who all bowed or addressed me. I smiled and nodded to each, still finding it slightly odd. When I reached the Throne Room, I saw that many people were already here.
I spotted Oreius and made my way to him. He beamed when he saw me and bowed. "General, you look lovely." I smiled at him. "Thank you. How are you feeling? Better?" He nodded and opened his mouth to say something, but was cut off by the sound of trumpets.
A lump formed in my throat and I moved to be hidden in the crowd. It was time. From my little hiding spot, I could see Aslan walking down the aisle with the four Pevensies. I saw Peter and my airflow seemed to stop. He looked very attractive.
