-Leslie's POV-

Being sent away to a boarding school in California was never something I had planned for myself. Then again never was being kicked out by my father because of my running away more than once. He mad me miserable. Ever since my mom died my dad's changed. He has ignored me and sent me to my aunt or my grandmother's every chance he got, and now he was sending me to California to some boarding school called Newport Academy. From what I've seen on the pictures it's right on the ocean. God. Why the hell is he sending me to a place that seems so perfect? It is better than military school, I have to admit that much. But even though it's not military school, it seems to preppy for me. Preppy people pissed me off.

"Leslie! Get down here before you miss your flight!" My dad yelled from the bottom of the stairs. I looked at my two large suitcases on my bed. I put my laptop and iPod in a seperate messenger bag. My dad came barging into my befroom door. "C'mon! We have to get to Logan Airport before nine!"

"Well you could help me!" I said furiously. Dad sighed and grabbed the both of my suitcases and quickly walked out the door. I looked around at my basically empty room. All that was left was a couple books on my book shelf and a picture of Aston Kutcher on my wall. I rolled my eyes and headed for the front door. Dad already had my suitcases in the backseat of the car. He was sitting in the driver's seat, tapping his hands on the steering wheel. I closed the house door behind me and walked to the car. I sat in the passanged seat, placing my messengar bag on my lap. I pulled out my iPod and placed the ear buds in my ears, putting the music on full blast. The car ride to Logan took about a half hour and my flight left in about forty-five minutes. Dad helped me bring my suitcases into the airport and brought them to the baggage chute thing, I honestly don't know the name of it. When he came back to me he was smiling. I stood up off the bench I was just sitting on.

"I'm sorry but this will be good for you." He said as leaned in to kiss my forehead. I snorted.

"Since when do you care whats good for me?" I asked pissed off. Dad sighed then hugged me.

"I'll see you over Thanksgiving break." He said quietly. I broke away from his hug. " I love you."

"Yeah." I said. I tugged onto my messenger bag strap tightly. No matter who it is I am never good at goodbyes. Dad gave me a small smile then walked towards the exit. I made my way to where my flight was going to depart. I stood in line as I waited to go through the metal detectors. It was the longest line I had ever seen. I placed my iPod headphones back in and waited and waited. Behind me I could hear someone fiddling through their bag. Whoever it was must have hit me in the back like three times. I turned around. "Can you not!?" I exclaimed loudly. The person looked at me. It was an extremely gorgous guy with tan skin and black hair. He towered over me so I had to look up.

"Sorry, I didn't realize I hit you." He said. His voice was deep. I instantly froze once I saw his beautiful blue eyes. I must've looked like an idiot. "Hello?"

"Huh? Oh, sorry. No I shouldnt have flipped out. I'm sorry." I said. He smiled. I felt my heart melt.

"So where you headed to?" He asked.

"Los Angelas, but then I'm headed to Newport, you?" I explained. His eyes widened.

"Me too." He said. I wanted to jump up and down at the fact that the hottest guy I had ever met was going the exact same place I was. "Are you going to Newport Academy?" He questioned. I nodded.

"My Dad's shipping me there." I said annoyed. I rolled my eyes.

"My parents are too. What grade are you in?" Man this boy had a lot of questions, but I guess hes just trying to make small talk.

"I'm a junior." I anwsered. A smile spread across his face.

"Me too! Looks like I don't have to worry about making friends now." He said with a laugh. I smiled. A friend is something I haven't had in awhile. It felt good to know I had an acquatince/friend thing going on here. The line moved up and I followed. "So what's your name?"

"Leslie." I said, not looking behind me. I secretly tried to hide the fact that I was blushing, fail. The little kid in front of me noticed.

"Mommy, mommy! Why is that ladies face all red? She looks like a tomato!" The kid exclaimed. I heard the guy behind me laugh. I hid my face in my hands. Why me?

"Well, Leslie, I'm Jace." He said still trying not to laugh. Jace walked up next to me and stuck out his hand. It took until he was up next to me to realize how muscular he was. I tried my hardest not to drool over his sexiness. I took his hand in mine and we shook. Nothing could ever beat this feeling I was having right now.

-Blaire's POV-

School would be back in session in exactly two days. Well for me anyway, the people who would live in the dorms should be arriving later tonight. Jace should be arriving tonight. My stomach dropped at the fact that I was going to see Jace again after a long summer without him. Hopefully we would pick up right where we left off when school ended.

"Ms. Blaire, your fathers waiting in his study for you." Geoffrey said from my doorway. I turned around to see my family's loyal butler. I smiled and walked past him to my father's study. I knocked on the door.

"Blaire?" My father questioned.

"Yeah, it's me." I anweser to my father's strange assumption that it wouldn't have been me. The large oak doors opened before me. My father standing on the other side. My father was his normal sketchy, paranoid self. I sighed at his stupidity. He took off his glasses to get a better look at me.

"Ahh... It is you, I assumed you would be someone else." He said wearily. My father closed the door behind me. What he was about to tell me would change my life forever.
