Silent Tears and Unanswered Prayers

Of my own

I don't have a family

of my own

or a house to call my home

so i guess im all alone

i have a mother

who never cares

a father who was never there

a whole in my heart where

he should have been

but this is now

that was then

i've watched my mother change

from a woman i loved

to someone who's fallen and can't get up

a man she barely even knew

Came and claimed her heart

and just like that

she left me alone

and in the dark
