The Training

Tracey and I started my training the next day.

It was hard. I mean have you ever tried lifting a boulder with your mind.
Plus it didn't help that she was always yelling at me how I did it wrong. One day I made my worst mistake yet.
I was working on lifting one of the largest boulders at the orphanage. The one I had never been able to do.

"Concentration is key" She told me. Like she had been doing everyday for the past three weeks." If you don't concentrate, you won't be doing anything"

As I tried to lift it, she kept yelling " concentrate!"

As I stared at it,willing it to move. There was a crash behind me.
I spun around to see instead of the boulder lifting a tree had starting uprooting itself. It had started swinging around. It was slamming kids into the stone wall of the orphanage.

"I concentrated" I said sheepishly.

She glared at me. Man if looks could kill I'd probably have a million of bullets in my chest.

"You complete imbecile!" Tracey screamed. "Are you trying to kill people"

"Uhmmmm, maybe. I kinda of have some enemies and wanted to murder them"

Kids were screaming and running only to have their head get smacked into the wall by the tree.

It was not a pretty sight. Kid's heads were bloody and every time a kid got smacked into a wall you heard a crack that was probably their skull or ribs.

I couldn't believe I had caused this. Kids were dying left and right. Yet  I noticed the tree kept away from Tracey and I.

"What are we going to do?" I asked.

"Just concentrate on undoing it"

"Exactly, how do I do that" I complained.

"Like I said, just concentrate"

So I concentrated and instantly it stopped, the bad news when it stopped it went back to the place it had been rooted to. I know, that doesn't sound bad, but about twenty kids were in that spot. Those kids got rooted to the spot, suffocating because their face was in the dirt.

More than a thousand kids died. Only fifty kids lived out if the 1,500 kids.

"Well, that went well" I said sheepishly.
