Just a oneshot I thought up while looking at my own eyes in the mirror.
"Another."
The bartender looked at the customer carefully.
"You sure, mister? That's your-"
"Do you want my money or not?" The customer snapped irritability.
The bartender shut his mouth and fixed the customer's sixth glass of Jack Daniels then slid it across the bar.
The customer stopped the glass with a hand and stared down at it, the dark amber color reminding him of the eyes of the girl he had hooked up with two days ago in the same seat.
Kina, he thought to himself.
She had been nice enough.
A little on the preppy side for him but the eyes were enough to make him go crazy. Their dark amber color had reeled him in and held him tight.
But they just weren't right.
Pretty and enticing, yes, but not right.
He wasn't sure when he would find the right ones but he hoped it would be soon.
The customer then grabbed the glass of Jack, gulped it down, and set it back down after finishing it.
His own eyes flickered up to the back of the bar where all the drinks were and thought about grabbing another before deciding against it. Money was slammed onto the bar as he stood up and went to the floor where other patrons were dancing, kissing, and flirting the night away.
He squeezed between a pair of couples and headed to the heart of it all.
The stage.
Sometimes there would be strippers. Sometimes a comedian. But most times, like tonight, the stage was occupied by a singer.
He didn't recognize the male on stage which surprised him since he came here almost all the time.
Looking around, he found that the other patrons were enjoying the music quite a bit and called over one that he recognized.
"Yeah, Ash?"
"Who's that?" He asked.
Jake looked at the stage where he had pointed.
"He's new. Billie said he hired him on to spice up the joint."
Ashley frowned.
"But who is he?"
"Calls himself Andy Six."
--
For the rest of the night, Ashley's brown eyes were locked onto Andy.
The tall singer had a deep and full voice that was full passion and emotion. If Ashley was anyone else, he might have been under his spell.
But Ashley wasn't anyone.
His body was leaning up against the wall in dark but he had a perfect view as Andy took charge of the stage, his crystal blue eyes taking in the happy crowd that he sang for.
Ashley stood for another two songs before Andy stepped off the stage, his job for the night completed.
He made his way through the crowding people to where Andy was in the small room that was reserved for the performer of the night. Ashley knocked and was met by a pair of eyes that made his breath hitch.
They were perfect.
"Can I help you?"
Ashley froze and couldn't move his eyes away from the sea of blue before him.
