Lu Han's Point of View
The next day...
I woke up, my eyes opening to the bright sunlight of the morning. Not wanting to get out of bed, I laid there. My eyes wandered over the ceiling, over the delicately carved marble and stone, as my mind wandered freely, out of this room.
Who was I yesterday? I was so... Different to Cha An. What... How did this happen? It's just that... I'm driven by something to become her friend. What is this? What am I doing? Am I slowly going crazy? Well, at least I'm her friend.
I got up then, pulling the covers away from my body as I ran a hand through my hair.
After freshening up and changing into a mint green Acne sweater and jeans, I walked into the living room. The Kingkas’ dorms were all connected. I shared a dorm with Se Hun. The dorm was quiet. Either he was studying or sleeping.
The sunlight shone through the large windows as I stared at the clock. Six am. Since when did I wake up this early? I'm usually the last one to wake up.
"Hyung?" A voice called out. I turned around to see Kyung Soo walking down the hallway towards me.
"Oh. Hey," I said, walking towards the kitchen. Kyung Soo followed, scratching his head. I knew he was wondering why I woke up so early.
"Why... How did you wake up so early, hyung?" He asked bewildered as I sat down at the island, pulling my phone from my blazer pocket.
"Oh, I uh... I don't know," I answered, a bit confused myself. How did I wake up so early?
“Well, that’s weird,” D.O commented, before heating the stove. He always made breakfast. Even when Su Ho said that there were people to do that for us, and that we didn’t have to and should get some sleep, he insisted. It’s like a fetish of his. I will never understand people who get up early.
“Aren’t you tired?” he asked as I opened my Cyworld.
“No,” I distantly replied, scrolling through the photos of fake girls tagged “Oppa saranghae!” “Pretty” “Oppa do you want to have lunch with us? Kekeke” posted on his wall. It was so incredibly annoying, yet he kinda felt thankful that they were so nice and spent so much time on him. But really, they should spend that time somewhere else. I could do without it. I posted:
Good morning~ Just got up ^^ Since when did I wake up so early? Watching D.O make breakfast- his shoulders really are that narrow! Kekeke (^^)
with a picture of D.O mixing the kimchi pancake mix. His back was turned so he couldn’t see me. I was totally going to get it later… hehehe, evil hyung.
Suddenly the sound of a girl screaming outside could be heard through the quiet dorm. After two minutes of endless screaming, I got up to look out the window, annoyed and to stop the shouting. They were going to wake up my members. I poked my head out the window, early morning breeze hitting my face as my hair became slightly ruffled.
My eyes wandered around the scenery. We lived on the second floor, next to an ornamental tree. “Yah!!! Get up!!! What are you doing there on the floor huh? WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH LUHAN OPPA’S SCARF.” My ears perked up at the sound of my name. Scarf? Don’t I still have it? Well, it wasn’t on my rack today. I must’ve misplaced it. Think, Lu Han. What did you do to lose that scarf?
My scarf… I wore downstairs with me yesterday… then I brought Cha An back to her dorm… then I took off my disguise to make tea… then we talked…. then I left...OH NO.
My eyes widened. Then I saw a glint of something metallic. It was long, seemed heavy, and HOLY SHIT. And that’s when I saw something. Something that seemed to catch my blood on fire.
A watering can.
I jerked my head back into the dorm and swiftly ran over to the door, grabbing my white patterned beanie, keys and pulling on my Converse. Oh no, Cha An. We just became friends and now she’s getting beat up? She’s never going to trust anyone ever again. “Hyung!” D.O called from the kitchen. “Where are you going?! You have to wake up the others!”
“I’ll be back!’ I shouted back before opening the double doors and rushing down the marble corridor in a panic. My heart raced as I ran out into the grounds. Where was everyone? Where was CHA AN?
A gaggle of girls passed by me. They were giggling and laughing and then they saw me and immediately turned to sweetly smile at me. “Sunbae, annyeonghasseyo~” the girl in the middle said, she was tall, had sleek brown hair and huge doll eyes. “My name is Lee Eun Mi.” The others were blonde, ginger, purple… you name it. They giggled. I bowed my head slightly. My facial expression was stonic, but it must’ve still been pretty handsome because the girl blushe. She must’ve thought that I was staring at her face, but I wasn’t. I was staring at the scarf around her neck.
It was black, and through some loops, I saw the initials sewn in real silver: L.H.
“Why do you have my scarf?” I asked quietly, ultimately knowing that she was the one who beat Cha An up.
She looked up at me, innocently. It was so fake I wanted to puke. “Oh, I saw it on this bench in the gardens. It was so pretty, and I was just… watering some flowers. Y’know, botany is so cool~” she aegyoed, trying to impress me.
“Can I have that back now?” I asked her stiffly, as polite as I could manage. It must’ve been pretty handsome because she giggled and slowly unwound it from her neck. I need to put that in the wash later.
“Sure, sunbae~! You know, if you want to have some lunch some time, I would be happy to come with you~” she giggled and handed it back to me, letting her fake nails gently scrape against my fingers andwaving flirtatiously before exiting with her group of girls. I was about to run again, but I for some reason, I turned back to look at them. My eyes instantly captured something.
A metal baseball bat.
