Fear is explained by the absence of sense
Silence surrounds you, the air becomes dense
Fear is present in the unwelcome night
And in its presence you want nothing but light.
Screams pierce your ears and the silence is gone
The light disappears and with it the dawn.
Rancid odors may foul the air,
But for me it reaps of deathly despair.
There's nothing before you to have or to hold
It's nothing you've felt before in this cold
And bitter to the tongue, the taste of your blood
Your screams fill the night,
The sound a soft slightly thud.
