This collection of stories are random tales based in the world of the novels I'm currently working on. Most of these were written for various writing challenges at Wattpad. Many of them are notably darker than my actual series is at the moment.
These stories are mainly character explorations and not necessarily canon. Events that happen in these stories may or may not actually take place in the novels. The characters like to stray from my outline, and at the moment, I'm just letting them.
Some of the characters go by different names through the ages. Mingan goes by Miguel, his uncle, the Coyote, by Javier. Elloreah goes by Reah, Rachel or Rachelle or variations of on that theme. Lokni goes by Lonnie, Hayeta goes by Harriet.
WOLVES AND COYOTES
(flash fiction)
A wandering cowboy takes pity on a girl whose family has been devastated by the loss of their cattle. With the help of his traveling companion, they take on the Red Bull Ring.
POLUMETIS
(flash fiction)
Lonnie and Reah travel to Italy for negotiations with the legendary firearms manufacturer, Beretta.
BROKEN
A short story written for a horror contest some years ago, featuring Elloreah, using her nick name, Reah. It also features her good friend, Belita. WARNING: violence/blood
BRANDING
This short and still slightly unfinished short tale was meant to lead up to Caught in the Undertow, and explains a little about the mythology and magic of this world. Elloreah and Belita are on the run after killing Lokni, a Shifter and Seerer in Broken.
CAUGHT IN THE UNDERTOW
Written for the Romance Smackdown as a Gothic Romantic tale. This story takes place in Toronto, in a sort of gothic resort for Mythic beings where Elloreah and Belita are in hiding.
SAVE ME
Written for the Fantasy Smackdown as Romantic Fairytale. It turned out to be more of an anti- romantic fairytale, taking the themes of both genres and twisting them a bit. Mingan comes to rescue Elloreah from herself. WARNING: drug use
KNOWN THIS ALL ALONG
Written for the Romance Smackdown, a fantasy romance. Elloreah's old friend, Sarah is ill and Elloreah must grapple with her own immortality, as well as her feelings for MIngan who comes to help out during Sarah's time of need.
PIPES AND DAGGERS
An aspiring detective's girlfriend turns up dead and he's consumed with finding the serial murderer who has been preying on women at the university he attends. He finally gets a lead when a young woman survives an attack.
