Chapter 34. [Querencia]

SECOND PERSON

Silence is the one thing that is in between you and Oikawa as you both head towards your condominium. Oikawa's strides were long and fast while you tried to catch up.

"What do you mean by helping Ushiwaka train for the inter high preliminaries?" Oikawa broke the silence still walking ahead of you.

"I was forced to oblige the coach, I had no choice" you answered back

"And so because of that you're training them?" he asked

"They appointed me as substitute for a coach and a manager" you defended

"Why? Can't they find anyone but you? I mean can you even coach?" he mocked

"Wow are you angry at me?"

Oikawa stopped walking and turned towards you with anger in his eyes.

"You didn't answer my question" his eyes dilated posing a threat

"They couldn't find a substitute coach because people around here are always busy. Then their coach saw me perform a jump serve and so he appointed me to be the coach" you explained and looked into his eyes who had hesitation and disbelief swirling in its depths. You huffed and narrowed your eyes at him.

"Are you lying to me?"

"Do I look like I'm lying to you?" you snapped

"Urgh, it just feels like you're betraying me, Aoba Johsai as well!" he said

"Did I have a choice?! I need to do it because he's an elder. He asked me to, he didn't offer a choice saying 'if' you want to join!"

"Then why didn't you try declining the offer?!"

"I tried but he found a loophole in my reason!"

"Seriously?!"

"Are you blaming me? Or are you just too jealous?!"

Silence

Your eyes searched his brown eyes for any expression but it was pure shock and a little hint of anger. I mean of course he's jealous and he was surprised that you read him like a book. You sighed out and rubbed your temples.

"Why are we even fighting over something this small? I was supposed to tell you about it" you murmured as you closed your eyes in frustration. You heard him huff.

"Sorry."

You tilt your head up to see Oikawa looking down on the ground.

"I'm sorry, I guess I lost control again" he said

"Well, I'm sorry too" you said and your eyes met. He started walking closer to you as he hugged you tightly.

"Dammit. I take my eyes off of you and this happens" he murmured as he nuzzled his nose on your neck.

You kept quiet and hugged him tighter.

"I missed you" you said barely above a whisper. His lips twitched to a soft smile as he tilted his head up to kiss your forehead softly.

"I missed you a lot more" he said as he put an arm around your shoulders and took your bag from your hand.

"Let's go"

Oikawa flopped down on the couch as you put a cup of tea on the small coffee table. You sat cross legged near Oikawa as you drank your tea. He tilt his head up to see you looking at the moon outside.
