Outnumbered

Problem Number 1

I woke with the sun in my face and to the sound of the birds singing outside; I loved staying here in Zeus's house. It was large enough to house three families of four, most people from the family did stay here, a few had their houses close by and a few moved further out, but they came here everytime they got time off from work. I stretched a little and looked over at Jason who had his head under the pillow. I smiled; the birds singing must be annoying him. I moved over and draped my arm across his warm chest and kissed it. He made a noise and started to stretch.

"Morning Sweetie" I whispered and rested my head on his chest.

"Morining Love" He greeted me.

He removed the pillow from his head and leaned up and kissed my head. I smiled and he lay donw on the pillow.

"Birds wake you?" I asked.

"Hmmm" He murmured unamused.

I pushed myself up and broght some covers with me to hide my naked body as I peered into his eyes. The yellow was turning back to his normal eye colour but I couldn't help but smile; I loved his eyes.

"Why do you always do that?" He chuckled.

"Because I love it"

He laughed and pushed my hair behind my ear.

"Really?"

"Would I be marrying you if I thought your Wolf side was a concern?"

He mused and then smiled, pulling me down to lie on his chest. He sighed happily.

"I really do love you"

"I love you too Sweetie" I hugged him tightly.

I could sense the smile on his lips and it made me so happy. I loved making him smile. I could hear him inhale as if he was going to speak, when a knock came at the door and it opened. Zeus walked in carrying a huge tray with two plates on it and four cups, containing orange juice and what I presumed was tea for me and coffee for Jason. I moved up with the covers and sat up, Jason sat up rubbing his eyes. Zeus grinned.

"Making me grand-babies?" He asked.

My eyes widened and I hid my face, his booming laugh making my face even redder.

"Dad!" Jason gasped.

Zeus almost dropped the tray from laughing, I looked up at him with a red face and a shy smile, I can't believe he said that.

"Sorry" He gasped.

"I...couldn't...resist" He laughed.

We started to laugh too and he gave us the tray, well Jason took it, I had more to hide than he did. Zeus turned and it took him a few seconds to leave; he couldn't move from laughing. Jason turned to me with a red face and he kissed me.

"Sorry" He said.

"It's alright, I should be used to your dads humour" I shrugged.

He smiled at me and laughed nervously.

"Yeah but still"

I smiled at him and set the tray's leg down so it sat around Jason and I. I started to tuck into the wonderful fry-up Zeus had given us. Jason seemed a little edgy, I looked at him he was in thought.

"Whats wrong Hun?" I asked.

He looked at me and then sighed.

"Y'know, my dad does really want grand-kids?"

My heart fluttered and I almost choked on my toast. I swallowed it and took a sip of orange juice and looked at him.

"Sweetie, I love your dad and I would do anything for him, but really? We aren't even married yet"

"I know, but, if we're going to be together then maybe we should start planning"

My mouth hung open and I turned to hang my head. I could sense Jason getting annoyed with himself for upsetting me.

"So you're not scared of my Wolf side but you're scared to have kids?" He joked.

I gave hima wry smile and sighed.

"I'm sorry Hun, I just. I'm not really, I don't feel...I don't know"

His face dropped and he sighed, pulling me to him carefully not to knock over the breakfast and kissed my head.

"I'm sorry" He said so quietly.

I nodded and kissed his shoulder. I moved from him and smiled, continuing to eat my breakfast. Kids? Really? We've always talked about the possibility one day...but we weren't even married yet! Jason turned on the TV and we ate in silence. He laughed with the TV and smiled at me to join in, I gave him small smiles that seemed to satisfy him as I couldn't get the thought of us having kids out of my mind.

I got up off the couch and sighed, jogging into the kitchen and openeing the fridge, taking out a bottle of water and gulping half of it down. Tony appeared behind the fridge door with a towel wrapped around his neck, one arm bent so he could wipe the back of his head with it. I closed the fridge over. I was used to not hearing most people in the house creep up on me, still gave me goosebumps though.

"Hey, you finished?" I asked.

"Yeah, gym's all yours" He panted.

I smiled and took my water with me, grabbing a towel from the pile outside the gym door and went in. Rolling my eyes as there was sweat marks on the rowing machine; it's a good thing I don't like using it. I  went on the treadmill, doing half an hour. When I was finishing, Ashley came in and greeted me, lifting weights. I took a five minute break, talking to Ashley as she lifted the weights as if they were nothing. I had my own weights in the room, all the other weights were built for the family and since I was the only normal person here and didn't have supernatural strength, I had to get my own so I didn't kill myself. I stretched and started with small weights and then built up, then using a medicine ball, started to work out my stomach. Ashely made her way around the gym as if it were an obsticle course for a child and then came back to me as I was just about to finish.

"So, you excited for Thursday?" She asked.

I grinned at her at the thought; it was my Wedding day, wo days away.

"Of course, I can't wait"

Ashley grinned and sighed.

"He's been dreaming about this day since you two made it official you were dating" She grinned at me.

I blushed but couldn't help but smile. He really was a Sweetheart.

"I know, I really love him. Can I tell you something?" I asked.

"Of course"

I sighed and sat on the floor, Ashley already sitting there, waiting intently for me to continue. I took a breath, I had to be delicate about telling her, she may panic.

"You're having second thoughts?!" She bellowed.

"No!" I growled at her.

Nodding she sat down and relaxed again. I took a breath.

"Jason wants kids, Zeus wants grand-kids-"

"Are you pregnant?!"

I looked at her and she calmed down. Ashley was really such a playful and excitable person, I couldn't blame her.

"No. I just don't know if I want kids. I'm not sure I can be a mother...and I'm just worried that, this might really upset Jason and Zeus and I don't want to let either of them down"

Ashley nodded and tried to think of something to help. Eventually she sighed and stood, I stood too.

"You should talk to Jason about it" Was all she said.

Hugging me she sighed.

"I'm sorry I can't offer more help. I love you both and I hope you can sort this, you're meant for each other" She said.

I smiled at her and we left the gym. I went for a shower. I had avoided Jason all day, I didn't want to see him, I was just so scared of letting him down. The reality was hitting, I was getting married, I was marrying a Werewolf and he wanted kids...what the hell was I going to do?!
