A NEW DAY IN HOUSTON

It all started when me and my family settled in Houston Texas, we moved in Houston from Vancouver Canada because my father has a pizza shop there to manage. He also bought a land in Houston, So when my father said we must continue living in Texas, he left us no choice but to obey his orders. I never imagined weird things will happen when we settle there, but before I tell you everything that happened... let me start from the very beginning, when strange things starts to happen.

It was a calm morning, I open my eyes and my right eye can't see clearly.. I rubbed my eyes because I think it's just a morning glory. But nothing happens, so I slowly rise on my bed on a sitting position and I browsed my eyes around my bedroom..

My bedroom consists a blue floor, red ceiling, light blue walls with spade shaped design on it, a gaming posters on each wall, violate bed with a WWE logo imprinted on it, acer laptop and a brown closet with a mirror on it's right side.

I looked around my bedroom but the blur on my right eye is still there. So I stand up and approach my bedroom mirror and saw my stunning face. Uh.. I really admire myself.. I like my thin eyebrows, chinese looking blue eyes, pointed nose, thin and kissable lips, brown soft hair, and my silky white skin. Oh well, when I saw my right eye on the mirror it turns out I was right.. It really is a morning glory blocking my beautiful blue Iris.

So I rubbed it again until it's completely gone, I grabbed a black colored handkerchief with tattoo-like designed on it. I took the handkerchief beside the mirror and wiped my teary eyes because it's a little bit itchy and soggy after I rubbed it for minutes. Then I noticed a dark blue object on the left corner of my eye so I slowly turn my head on the left side to take a look at the dark blue object. As I approach the object, beside my bed.. it turns out to be my Samsung galaxy G2 prime, with earphones inserted on it! it's my android phone. Well.. I'm not the real owner of that android phone before, the one who really owns it is my older brother. He gave it to me a year ago, because he bought a new one. I pick it up and swipe my point finger on the silky screen to unlock it. After unlocking it, I pressed the headphone icon on the main screen so I can browse my favorite songs.. and see my playlist. Then I saw the title "Disturbed - Down with the sickness" (which is one of my favorite metal rock songs), so I played it.. and put my white colored earphones on my ears. As the intense beat running on my ears I slowly walk back on my bed and as I rearranged my bed cover, I noticed an unclear voice coming outside my bedroom but I just ignored it because I thought it's just my granny blabbering and talking some nonsense early in the morning. Then when I was about to fold my blanket, someone poked me on my left hip.. so I jolted and immidiately turn around to see who it was. It is my mom Bridget.. she has thick eyebrows, white skin, brown eyes, pointed nose, thin lips, and blonde hair.

I was shocked when I turned back and saw my mom, so I immidiately get my earphones clinged on my ears and said on a shock tone "Oh mom, how long have you been there? I never noticed that you entered my room.."

My mom lowered her eyebrows and said "Darn it Cairo, I been shouting and calling at you downstairs minutes ago!" Then she calmed down and said "Come downstairs and get some breakfast".

I laughed and said "Haha.. I'm sorry mom.. I really don't know that you were calling me downstairs, Oh well.. I heared a little bit of murmurs downstairs but I can't make it out clearly because my earphones is playing loud. So, I ignored it because I thought it's just granny blabbering again."

Then mom replied while staring at my earphones "Son, will you minimize your phone while your listening to a music next time? I mean, why can't you listen on a medium volume? Just minimize the volume next time.. ok?"

I stared at her and said "Yeah.. yeah.. I'll minimize it next time mom."

She smiles and said "Attaboy! that's what I'm talking about." Then she poke me again on my left hip.

I giggled and said " Ow! mom, don't poke me.. It really tickles me when someone poke my ribs or my hips."

Then I ask her "Uh.. Mom, is granny still sleeping? I mean.. I thought she's awake."

Mom replies "She's on her room sleeping. Yeah.. me too son, I'm not used to her new behaviour, She used to wake up early, but this past few days? She's acting strange."

I pulled out my earphones from my android phone and said "I think she's just exhausted mom.. She's getting older you know? But I think maybe she needs a hospital check up."

Mom slowly nods her head saying "You got a point son, I guess your right. So, are we going to chitchat here all day long? or you'll eat some breakfast? Move your ass, go downstairs, and chow! it's 9:40 already."

I laughed while saying "Haha.. Okay.. Okay! I'll go downstairs and chow." So mom and I got out of my bedroom and then I followed her downstairs.

While I'm walking downstairs and approach the kitchen, I saw my older brother Dave and my younger sister Mitch eating our fav chilli sizzling lasagna. The kitchen entrance is located at the north side of the kitchen. Our kitchen has a light brown colored dining table on the middle part, two sets of chairs on both sides of the dining table with stainless steel legs and a red cushion on top of it, white tiled counter, blue ceiling, dark green floor, Black kitchen stove on the south east from the kitchen entrance, grey colored sink, white two-by-two type of fridge, and a brown kitchen cabinet above the sink.

Dave is 23 years old and he was a engineer in EHRA.. and he has pale white skin, thin but messy eyebrows, bluish eyes, pointed but a little bit big nose, black hair, and a thin lips. While Mitch is 17 years old, she's still a student in College. She studied at Texas Southern University.. she has a caramel colored eyes, white but a little bit tanned skin, ponny tailed orange hair, pointy but rashed nose, and a medium looking lips.

Looks like Dave already have a job, and Mitch's still a student.. How about me? Well, I'm still unemployed because I'm a Fresh graduate last year. I took I.T. course in college because I want to create programs for the computer.. I'm still applying for a job in several companies, I hope that I'll be employed someday. Anyways, let's get back to my story!

So, both of them stared at me then Dave starts talking at me and said Jokingly "Where were you bro? mom's been shouting at you down here for hours, I think your pissing her off.."

Then Mitch glanced at Dave and she stared back at me while laughing and saying "Haha... yeah! Your such a couch potato Cairo, I think mom will ground you for a week.."

I smiled while looking at Dave saying "Whuuut? seriously Dave? I Don't think Mom took an hour just to call me down here.. and she's not pissed, because I told her why I didn't come down in the first place."

I walked towards the kitchen sink and turned on the cold faucet..

Then I grab the soap on the upper right corner of the sink
and I talked to Mitch while washing my hands saying "Uhh.. Mitch, It's ok if mom will ground me for a week. I'm not an outgoing person anyway! I mean.. I'm not the type of person that can be fooled easily by this kind of people around us."

Dave exclaimed "Whoa.. whoa.. whoa! what do you mean around us?"
