Chapter 4

It was Nathan. "Well, I'm not allowed in there and I'm not walking back down there either" I said. He sat on the curb beside me. A little too close for my liking, stranger danger you know.
"Soooo, how's the dress going?" Nathan awkwardly asked.
"Erm yeah great I think, I don't really go in there unless it's to see Mum. I don't have anything to do with it really" I told him. Jesus could this get any worse. I could tell he wanted to say something, but as he did the very loud car from 10 minuets ago came speeding up the long road. Tanner slowed down the car and opened the passenger window.
"Hey, you good?" Quentin asked. I raised my eyebrows as a sign to go along with what I was going to say.
"Heyyyyyy! Tanner, Quentin long time no see! How ya been?" I shouted jumping up from the curb and leaving Nathan seated. I don't think Quentin understood what I was getting at. At all. We stood still for a few moments until Tanner broke the silence.
"Oh my god Jess why didn't you tell Mum you was in town? It's been months!" He waved his arms from inside the car. I smiled my biggest smile trying my hardest not to burst into laughter.
"Ohhh you know! We we're going to surprise you!" I kept my slime. Whilst trying my hardest to sound convincing, clearly not doing a good job from the looks on Nathan and Quentin's face. I bent down into Quentin's window and whispered to tanner "hey I know we just met an all but I'd really appreciate it if you got me away from this kid"
"Sure jump in" Tanner replied.
"Heyyyy Nathan..I'm gonna go with my friends for a while. Don't wait up!" I smiled and quickly turned to get into the car. He stood up from the curb almost as if he was going to stop me.
"Hey! You didn't tell me your name!" He shouted as Tanner started to drive.
"She doesn't have one!" Quentin screamed back at him.
