A week has passed, and Cas and I have been hanging out at each others places to cuddle and kiss. I'm currently walking around; not sure where to. I get distracted in my thoughts of Cas and bump into a wall. I look up to see a place I never thought I'd have see again.
The West End of town. The bad part. The place I grew up in. I look around to see the colorful graffiti, brightly colored houses and apartments, people holding hands, and even a hug dealer on the street corner. I kinda missed this place.
I decide to walk around. My boots make a light tap on the pavement. As I walk by an ally, some teen starts drumming on a trashcan. Then their friend joins in with clapping. I smile as more start to stomp their feet. I join in with a grin on my face. I even start to sing.
"Some legends are told.
Some turn to dust or to gold.
But you will remember me.
Remember me for centuries.
Just one mistake.
Is all it will take.
We'll go down in history.
Remember me, for centuries.
Hey~ Yeah. Oh hey~ Hey~ Yeah.
Remember me, for centuries.
Mummified my teenage dreams.
No, it's nothing wrong with me.
The kids are wrong.
The story's all off.
Heavy metal broke my. Heart.
C'mon, C'mon and let in.
The bruises on your thighs like my fingerprints.
And this is supposed to match.
The darkness that you felt.
I never meant for you to fix yourself~"
The kids applauded and gave me high-fives. I forgot how that felt. I continued walking, coming across my old gangs hangout. The swing set was painted rainbow, picnic tables had doodled flowers all over them, and the walls were graffitied. I smiled, remembering my old friends. I feel guilty for leaving them. But it's not like I had a choice in the matter.
As I stand there, a man walks up to me. "Dean, I need you to come with me." I'm taken aback and give the a 'WTF?!' face. "Uh, no. Get away, Creepo." The guy sighs in frustration. "Dean, this is serious. I know you've probably tried to push away every memory from here, but you need tocome with me." I flip the guy off and start walking away.
Then I feel a hit on my head and everything goes black.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I wake up to the sound of people arguing.
"I thought I made it clear we have a no abduction policy."
"He wasn't cooperating! What did you expect me to do?!"
"Huh, I don't know. Maybe, TELL HIM WHO YOU BLOODY ARE SO HE DOESN'T FREAK OUT!"
I open my eyes to see the man from before talking to another guy. Then there's two girls behind them, rolling their eyes. I squint. "Wait.........Jo? Meg? Is that you?" Jo smirks. "Hey Dean. Haven't seen you in awhile." Meg looks me up and down suggestively. "You've grown since we last saw you. You're pretty hot now." I roll my eyes. "Sorry Meg, but I got a boyfriend." The two guys turn to me. I recognize the second guy. "Crowley?! It's good to see you again." I shake his hand. The guy from before speaks up. "Hey Dean. Sorry about earlier. It's me. Cole?" My eyes widen. "Cole?! Last time I saw you, you had a chubby baby face and huge anime eyes! Man, you've grown."
We shake hands and hug. I smile at all of them. "So, why did you guys want me here?" They all look at each other warily. Cole takes a step toward me. "Dean.....you must know by now the people running this town are up to no good." I nod. He continues. "Well, you see, the thing is......you're somehow on their radar now. We hack into their files weekly. And you're in their system Dean. They only put people in there if the person's acting suspicious, or they know they're breaking the law. We think they might be watching you."
I freeze. "Oh shit. If they're watching my house, that means Cas is in trouble too. Shit, I screwed up." I run a hand threw my hair. Crowley attempts to calm me down. "It's okay. They don't seem to be focused on you right now, but you are in the system; meaning you'll have to be more careful from now on."
I bite my lip and look at everyone worriedly. Jo changes the subject. "So, have you heard from Sam? It's been awhile since he climbed the wall." I smile a little. "Yeah. He sent a letter to Bobby's. It said that he's safe, living a nice life. He married a guy named Gabriel, and they have a daughter named Deanna." Jo smiles. "We all knew Sammy would end up happily married." Crowley smirked. "Bet the boy's a good father too." Meg grins."I'm glad he made it. If anyone deserved to have a happy life, it was him."
Cole looks at me, dumbfounded. "We missed his wedding?! Dean, don't you remember when we said we would scare his fiancé a little; to make sure they treated him right?" I chuckled. "Yeah, and he threatened to beat you up. He actually did kick your ass a few times." Cole rolls his eyes with a scoff.
My phone goes off and I look a it. "Oh, sorry guys. I gotta go. I promised Cas I was going to make dinner." They all look at each other weirdly. "What guys?" Crowley carefully takes a step forward. "Dean. Castiel isn't in the system. Not in any of the systems. He doesn't have a birth certificate. He doesn't have any family as far as anyone is aware of. He doesn't exist. We think something's going on here."
I look at him skeptically. "Wait, are you suggesting........? No. No, no, no. He is real. I'm not crazy. He's not some sort of robot. He's as human as you and I. Bye guys." I turn an leave. I open the large metal door of the bunker and start walking home on the gravel road. I look back at the seemingly abandoned building.
What do they know? Cas is special. We connect on a different level. I can't imagine going back to a life without him.
I love him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, this chapter kinda sucked. Oh, and the bunker is on the edge of the West side of town.
But, yeah. Dean's old friends. Warning him that he's on the Cities radar. Things are going to be.........well..........I don't know! I promised myself I'd take this slow, but I already know how I want this to end! Gahhhhhhh! Writer's block sucks!
I guess I'll put like, 2 more chapters with more Destiel moments? Let's see, Dean has....... A month and 1 week till the event? Next chapter could be two weeks later, then the chapter after that could be 2 weeks later, then 1 week (Boom! Event!), then final chapter a few days after the event.
So 4 more chapters guys!
Bye kiddos~!
