OLLY

I was standing in the middle of a field, a ray of the sunshine hit me with a warmth that made my skin feel loved. I tried looking around only to find nothing but endless fields of evergreen grass and patches of flowers with every color imaginable.

Then a wave of air came crashing towards me, it collided with my body just as the water of an ocean would. I raised my arms to catch the streams of air as they flowed up and around my body, how magical it felt, intoxicating even. But soon the soft current transformed to a violent storm. It picked up its speed and with a force greater than I could imagine it came toppling over me. In only a matter of moments it had invaded the fields with endless destruction until it left me to waste in a never ending pit of aching darkness.

Time seemed to go at an unbearably slow pace when suddenly I noticed a distant light approaching me. I strained my eyes from the brightness that by the time I could see again I was standing in a softly lit corridor. The walls were bearing with old age and from the weight of all the years of having to support the ceilings. I stretched my hand out towards it only to feel my fingers go numb against the touch of the wall.

"It'll kill you." , a voice said.

I turned to face who had just spoken. With an awestruck feeling my eyes took their time taking in the person in front of me. She was beautiful simply put, but there was also something about the way she held herself that made you feel obligated to stand just as firm as she was. Her hair fell a bit past her shoulder in waves of dark chocolate, which only further added a sense of elegance to her. She was small in stature but you never tell by the way her gold, cat like, eyes seemed to pierce through your very soul uncovering every secret imbedded in you. But what really entranced me was the tattoo like design that stretched from her upper torso to her hips. It seemed to breathe just as any living thing did, moving and change shape with every passing second. It was only when she spoke again that I snapped back to reality which had left me.

"I'm serious if you don't take your hand off the wall it will kill you. Please I need to speak to you and I don't know how long I have. Please!", she pleaded. The look in her eyes only made me believe she was telling the truth.

I noticed that this whole time my hand had still maintained its cold contact with the wall. As I began to pull away I noticed something I couldn't. A sense of panic filled my mind as I struggled to pull my hand back with an even greater force, but it was pointless. It was only now that I had noticed a tingling sensation creeping up my arm and spreading all over my body like a virus. I looked at the girl only to see the same face of pain I was sure had filled me to. The sensation continued to grow even stronger and began to consume my arm towards what seemed an eminent death. It was now eager to take in the rest of my body along with my arm.

"No wait! You can't leave! Not yet! I haven't even spoken to you! Wait! Please wai-"

The last thing I remember seeing was her panicked face as she tried to keep my body from going in, but there was no point, the force was to great. Soon I was sucked in and I was back in the terrifying dark space.

I woke up to the blaring of my alarm covered in my own sweat. I sat up, looked around the room and recollected the remainings of what had happened.

It was only a dream.
