*Ryan's Point of View*

"I'll fight away any evil that comes after you. I promise. Including Alex." I said, and I meant it. I'd beat him to a pulp if I wouldn't get arrested for it. If he ever hurts her again though, I don't care who sees it, I'm going to put him in the hospital. "My hero." She whispered and her eyes closed. I could tell she was tired, mentally, emotionally, and physically. It was eleven at night. I sat behind her and held her until she fell asleep. God, she is beautiful. Her cheeks were tear stained, her clothes were too big and plain, and she was beautiful. I knew right away when she walked in, Alex had hurt her. She also had no shoes, and walking in New York without shoes was painful and unsafe. There could be glass there. I glanced at her feet. They had a bunch of tiny cuts on them from the rough sidewalk. She had payed no attention to them and didn't seem to notice them. They weren't bleeding. She had been crying, and it hurt me to see her that way. Angels shouldn't have to cry, and Ashley was an Angel on earth. I noticed a bruise on her arm. Alex had freaking given her a bruise and it looked pretty bad. Not horrible, but not tiny either. Anger boiled inside me. Who does he think he is!?!? That he can just do whatever he wants to anybody! Oh right, he's the son of a billionaire. Ashley started to squirm, and she groaned a little. He face scrunched up. "No..." She mumbled and moved some more. She was having a nightmare. "Ashley." I said shaking her a little. She jerked awake. "Told you I'd fight away the evil." I said hugging her again. "Thanks." She said and smiled. She was already falling back asleep. "It was him. It was Alex." She was asleep again. I pulled her closer to me and whispered. "I'll never let him hurt you again. Never." She looked to peaceful, as if nothing ever happened. Just laying there in my arms, with the moon shining onto her face. A piece of her hair fell into her eyes and I brushed it away. I eventually fell asleep just how I was, leaning up against the wall behind her, holding her. "I'm never going to let you go." I whispered, and fell asleep.
