Ch. 11-"What Did I Do?!"
The loneliness she felt was starting to creep up. Usually the concept of loneliness is interpreted as a terrifying trial to go through solitude with nothing or no one on the outside to distract you from your inner demons screaming for attention to your very flaws and triumphs. Other times the subject is viewed an emptiness of the soul and state of mind, echoing through your consciousness as you live an empty shell completely deprived of interaction with anything else. For Natalie she was feeling both of those viewpoints of loneliness, and said emotion had been manifested into of beast the seemed to claw through her with razor sharp talons to always remind her of the emotional monster that was still lurking in her heart. She couldn't help it, ever since the intervention with the group of socially unaccepted teenagers she had started having an inkling of isolation, and it wasn't even mundane or routine like it was when she had been attending the Christian Academy. This was a different kind of lonely, what kind though, she had no idea.

'I wonder what they're talking about over there,' she glanced thoughtfully over the table she used to occupy. She wasn't sure why, but she felt a deep sense of longing to want to go over there and say something. However the desire died out after only a few seconds, like the flicker of a candle flame when pinched by couple of fingertips. Sighing, she gathered her tray and dumped her lunch as her appetite had disappeared. Walking out of the cafeteria she wandered the hallways aimlessly, almost equivalent to how she felt her life was going on at the moment. Drifting with no direction or purpose. She located her locker and opened it to gather her books for her next class, but as she did a small piece of paper fell and floated to the linoleum floor. Picking it up she immediately recognized it was a sketch of her and Eddy drawn by Liss herself, and she recalled the day the small illustration was gifted.

~Flashback to when Natalie and Eddy were first dating~

"Happy one-week-iversary you two!" Liss happily exclaimed as she hugged the two adolescents holding hands. "Congrats on making it through the first week, most teenagers have some petty fight or things get too awkward so they usually break up by now."

"Well thank you Liss, but we're not even making it that big of a deal, so no need to make a fuss," Natalie awkwardly waved her hands to signal the excited girl to settle down.

"Well to me, being with Natalie for a week isn't much of an obstacle to conquer. More like a blessing I get to experience, one I honestly wish could last forever," he suavely stated while wrapping his arm around said girl's shoulder and pecked her cheek.

"Well thank you Eddy, I have a deep regard for you as well," she said through the rosy tint decorating her cheeks.

"Regardless, I have a gift Eddy requested I make for you Nat. Hold on let me get it for you," Liss replied while the girl only looked at the boy side hugging her with slight amazement.

"I thought we both agreed to not get gifts or make a big deal about this," she teased while feigning annoyance.

"Yeah about that... I couldn't help myself," he sheepishly replied.

"Well I guess I can't be too upset for you being so sweet," she beamed. Despite the mock look of exasperation, his cute and almost embarrassed expression made her heart melt.

"Here ya go!" Natalie had a small piece of sketch paper shoved into her palm and it almost made her giggle. The sketch was her and Eddy drawn as bubble-style cartoon characters holding hands while nuzzling each other, incased in a cliche yet classy heart.

"I can't draw myself, so I hope you don't mind that I had Liss do it," he told the jubilant girl. He was immediately rewarded with a small kiss on his lips. He smirked before he grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms and dove in for a much deeper kiss. After almost a minute of the crass display of affection, the busy girl looked from the corner of her eye to see her friend throw a playful look.
