About Time (RE Sequel To What!?)

Today was just like no other. Chris, after being rushed to the hospital, in critical condition. Piers never left his side but accidentally fell asleep a couple of times due to fatigue as people drifted in and out of the room.

"Mommy?" He heard Leah say to Sherry.

"Shhh Leah. Let them sleep." Sherry tells her daughter.

But she ignored her request. Leah walked over to Piers sleeping body and tugged his hand, bolting him awake.

"Wha.... wh.... I'LL KILL YOU ALL!" Piers exclaimed while he woke up.

"Can I sit on your lap mister?" Leah asked, tears evident.

"Um sure?" Piers granted just as Leah climbed onto his lap.

"You know mommy and daddy were wrong, you aren't bad. Uncle cwris was rigwt to choose you as his partner for life." Leah reassured him, hugging Piers.

"Thanks for the vote kid but i don't deserve it." He tells her.

"But why?" Leah asked, looking him into his eyes.

"if i couldn't even save your uncle, what kind of person does that makes me? I'm a failure yet again." Piers let it all go.

"No. You are magical. Uncle cwris even said so. I never doubt a word he says so are you trying to say he is wrong?" Leah questioned her new friend.

"Leah...." Jake warned.

"Well no...." Piers started.

"Look mister, just because twe magic is gone and twere is notwing left, doesn't mean you give up. Would uncle cwris?" Leah wisely told Piers, wiping the tears escaping his eyes.

"You're going to make a wise president one day." He complimented her just as the doctor walked in.

"Who is Chris Redfield's next of kin or friends?" He asked.

"I am." Piers answered loudly and before Sherry and Jake could.

"Well Mr...."

"Piers. Piers Nivans." He answered the nice doctor.

"Well Piers I'm going to be frank with you or your buddies aren't going to like it. Mr. Redfield has a 50/50 shot at pulling through." The doctor simply put.

"What do you mean 50/50?" Piers asked, standing up now with Leah on the chair behind him.

"What i mean is that the first dagger just barely missed any major arteries but the other two daggers were dangerous. The second entered itself into the bone on his leg which we were able to remove and fix but the third was a problem." The doctor left off.

"Spit it out already." Jake growled, growing impatient with the doctor already.

"it was lodged into his abdominal area. We were able to patch it up but on the inside, no." The doctor stated.

"What?" Sherry asked confusingly.

"He is internally bleeding miss. We were able to stop it or slow it down the best we could but we don't know for how long. I'm sorry." The doctor said, excusing herself from the room.

"Piers....." both Jake and Sherry said at the same time.

"Leave now and you won't get massacred." Piers snapped, electricity coursing through his veins angrily.

His thoughts: save Chris at any price. Kill Ada and Helena.
