I rose with the sun, began tending to the few war bears we managed to attain on our attack to the north. We had left a few hundred men down in the eastern sector, just a precaution to guard what we took as ours.
"I expect them to attack again soon, the western sector is stronger than we thought." I danced my fingers through Clarkes blonde hair. We stood on the balcony, over looking the snowy banks and watching over Anouk run around to kick up the white powder. "She has grown to look like her father hasn't she?" She spoke softly. I smiled and nodded. "We should have one of our own after this." Her fingers grazed my flat belly and my smile faltered. "You would want to have a child with me?" She nodded wildly with a smirk. "War first then babies." She tapped my face and walked past me. I smiled and looked towards her. She stood over the war table, glancing over maps of the western sector. "We can take both at once, the southern sector is weak, they had been aided by the northern sector." I came up behind her and pointed out a few spots for camp. "We can move out now, take them in the winter to have crops in the spring.
"Let's round everyone up, I want to be outside their gates by dawn." I took off down the hall. I cought sight of myself in the broken shards of a reflective plate. My arm had been almost filled with red lines, they extended down my hand now. I sighed loudly before taking off and emerging into the snow outside. Anouk was running towards me now. I smiled at her. "What did you find little one?" I held our my hand when she offered me something. It was a small blue rock, about the size of a pea. I pocketed it and smiled at her. I lifted her small body in my arms and took her inside to warm by the fire. "Our plans are ready." Clare came up behind me. "Is everyone ready to go?" She nodded at my question. "Stay here with her, we will be back in two days time." I left her downstairs to go pull weapons together.
I strapped blades against my thighs, each tip was just brushing against my knee. "You look hot. Ready to go?" Clarke came up behind me and kissed my cheek. I nodded. I rushed down the stairs and went over to kiss Anouk. "Be good child." She squealed and babbled some unknown words. I chuckled and set her down again. Outside the bears had been saddled. I kept up into the largest one and kicked it into gear, set south.

We sat outside the southern boarder, checking and rechecking our weapons before sneaking in. The area around us was marshy, the soil smelled musky. There were bugs big enough to take your head off and the carnivorous animals were agressive. "We were told the back entrance was open. We sent in a group to bring forth the leader." Clarke came up behind me and spoke. "Any minute now." I tapped the blade against my thigh. We had been right about how low their defence was. The southern sector was made up if about fourty people, most untrained. Seconds later a small group of people brought me a dark skinned woman wearing green armor. Her face was very angular, eyes set deep and lips wide. "You have no right being here Onyx." She sneered my name. "I have all right being here. I just have one question before I end your life." Her eyes were blank. "How did you know my name?" I made eye contact with her. She pulled her lips into her mouth before rolling them out. "Everyone knows your name. It is feared." Rage boiled behind my eyes and I slashed her throat. She looked angry as she hit the ground.
"We move out to the eastern sector now!" I got nothing but cheers behind me and we began our short journey to the next marker.
