I Loved Her

I loved her. She was my princess, the only one to my eyes. Her smile was brighter than the sun and her eyes were clearer than the water. I loved the freckles on her rosy cheeks and how she laughed. Her voice was angelical, the most beautiful sound I have ever heard. She smelled like lemons and tasted like cotton candy. The way she moved, I could stare at her for hours without getting bored. When she held my hand tightly and hugged me.I loved how she blinked really quickly when she saw something she liked. I loved the way she slightly arched her eyebrows and how she wrinkled her nose and lips when she was angry. Her long eyelashes that rested on the upper part of her cheek when she slept. She was like an angel that had accidentally fallen from heaven, because that's what she was to me, an angel.

But above all of these things, I loved how she acted. The way she helped everyone when she was who needed the most and how she found a positive side on everything. The way she talked to everyone so kindly and how happy she got over the smallest things. I loved her so much, more than words can express. I loved everything about her. She was simply perfect to me, but she didn't think that. She thought that she wasn't pretty enough. She thought she was too fat or that her legs were too short. She thought she was a waste of space and no one cared about her. She thought no one would ever love her... but I did. I loved her with every single part of me and every day I blame myself for not reminding her that every single minute of her life. I blame myself because I wasn't there when she felt hopeless. I wasn't there when she felt that the world was crumbling down. She deserved to be loved... she simply deserved it. I loved her, but it wasn't enough to save her.
