A/N I know it sucks, fight me about it. I also realize there's a lot of things that don't exactly add up, I get it but can you just... Okay?
Chapter 1:
"Josh!" I said impatiently, "where the heck are we going?" I shouted at him.
He rolled his eyes at my impatience, "Ronnie, shut up, we'll be there in a bit!".
I rolled my eyes back at him, "Why did you drag me out of bed at 5 a fucking m?"
He raised an eyebrow, "did you just roll your fucking eyes at me?" he questioned.
I sighed, "no" I continued to pout.
He smirked, "that's what I thought, now sit down and shut up, I'm trying to be romantic,"
I knew my long blue hair was totally messed up, and my brown eyes were definitely bloodshot from over tiredness, but I brought my toiletry bag with my makeup and hair stuff, just in case.
Josh and I had been dating for a year, and our relationship, definitely had its ups and downs, we had been good friends in high school, so we knew all of each other's deepest and darkest secrets, we knew all of each other's strengths and weaknesses, which can be hard when you're dating someone who knows absolutely every single detail about you, every flaw, every give, but we found a way to make it work.
I guess I must have dozed off because I woke up to Josh shaking me, "I'm gonna go set some stuff up, you can do your makeup if you want to, but it's not necessary."
I yawned and rubbed my eyes, "alright, thanks Joshie" I smiled at him tiredly.
He smiled back, "In five minutes just get out of the car and walk straight until you see me holding a flashlight."
I laughed nervously, "alrighty then, that's creepy."
He smiled, "It's okay, I'm only going to murder you and bury you in the woods"
I laughed, "sounds like a plan"
He nodded and walked away, as soon as he left I grabbed my makeup bag and applied my foundation, eyeliner, eyeshadow, and mascara, I also quickly brushed out my hair, when I was done all my beauty routines the five minutes was up, and I got out of the car and walked straight, not even 30 seconds of walking in darkness, I saw Josh holding a flashlight, wearing his black dress shirt and red tie, looking absolutely smoking hot, I walked over to him, "hey babe." I said leaning in on him and stealing a kiss before he could react, "gotcha!" I exclaimed.
He laughed and leaned down to kiss me again, "Yep, and I got you... Babe!" he said giggling at the end a little bit, and looking into my eyes, "Ok, follow me, I have a surprise." He said jumping excitedly and running forward dragging me behind him, I had to struggle to catch up with him, and to not trip over branches, and yet, I managed to do so, except not really.
We ran for not even a minute, then we reached our destination, it was a blanket set out in a small meadow surrounded by paper lanterns, there was two plates on the blanket one had a Salisbury Steak on it with mashed potatoes and broccoli, it was my favourite, the other had a normal steak with a baked potato and corn on the cob.
I gasped, "Josh, this is, wonderful! Did you do this on your own?"
He laughed and shrugged, "Yeah, I planned it out, and cooked it, but Matt set it up and heated it all up again while we hung out and watched movies." he said as if it was no big deal.
"Josh, I, I don't know what to say, this is absolutely wonderful, I had no idea you were this much of a hopeless romantic, I love this sweet side of you!" I exclaimed happily beaming up at him.
