"Everything is a blur."
"What'd you say?"
"Huh?"
I looked up from the worksheets that I was answering. It was just a classmate of mine.
"You were saying something awhile ago but I couldn't hear you properly."
"Oh that was nothing, don't mind it."
"If you say so."
I can't believe I did it again. You know those times where you think you're in an open space, floating, and everything feels blank and empty? Then you just drop into nothingness, walking endlessly to a place where you can't seem to find? No? Well, I guess thats just me. This actually isn't the first time these kinds of situations occur. They kinda happen on a daily basis too. Do you wanna know why? Don't tell anyone, alright? But to be honest, I use drugs. So what if I'm a drug addict. I actually don't care. I've stopped caring ever since I've used 'em.

*flash back*
"Why don't you just go leave?!"
"Why don't you leave?!"
"This is my house and you follow my rules!"
"F*ck you and your rules!"
"Then leave and never come back!"
"Why don't you, then? You always leave at night with all the money then you come back the next day with nothing left!"
"You don't need to give a sh*t about MY money that I earned. I worked my *ss off for it so I have the right to spend it anyway I want."
"Then use it to sustain the needs of this family and especially the needs of our son thats studying hard and maintaining a good grade for us."
I hate it whenever my mom and dad scream at each other all night. It's like they never married and loved each other, judging from the way their loud voices echo throughout the house. I'm not one to judge but these fights happen a lot recently and from the looks of it, it might not stop soon.
I don't know what happened. We were fine but one day, everything just seemed to slip. It just kind of did. The way they go off about useless topics. I tried to stop them one time. Oh I really did. But they cursed at me, saying that they'll drop me somewhere and never come back. That was the moment where I was terrified of both my parents. I swore to God that I, Vincent Florenz, will never again get in the way of their petty arguments.

I've come to a conclusion. I've had enough. I can't take it anymore. Family problems here, school problems there. Everything's piling up and I feel like I'm gonna explode from stress. Suddenly, my phone rang. Looking at the caller, I smile to myself, finally thinking of a plan to get rid of the stress at least for awhile.
"Hello?"
"Yo, It's Kurt."
"Hey! Long time no talk. Why'd you call?"
"I noticed your social media is kind of... dead."
"Thanks for the concern, pal, but I promise I'm fine."
"I've got an idea for you and I'm positive you'll enjoy it."
"Well what is it?"
"Meet me tomorrow after school."
"The usual place?"
"Yeah."
Unknowingly, I was swept into a sea called drugs.
————————————————————
"Want some more?"
"Oh, sure."
"Here. Take any amount."
"Ok. Thanks."
"Anytime bro."
Facing reality once again, I take another pack, inhaling the usual scent of it. I've tried different kinds. All of them having their own unique aroma. There are some I take them orally, some I can snort, but my favorite are the ones that I can smoke. It burns, yeah, but it satisfies my entire body and no one can stop me. It's been a few weeks since I skipped school but my parents never knew. I don't have the guts to tell them. They'll just scold me or worse, disown me and throw me out of the house. I think about random things while I continue doing what relaxes me the most. Drugs.
