"Attention everyone, we have already selected one of Royals for tonight, now we will be searching for the perfect partner for this lucky person. This is getting a bit more exciting especially we are going to reveal their identities at the as they do their dance!" The principal made his announcement about tonight's event and he didn't even gave out whether it's a boy or a girl. Damn this human being, he must have a huge incest in boys on boys or girls on girls. He must have a massive collection of those things. He's secretly a perv anyways. Who wouldn't have seen at the back of his head as he looks at the couples kissing while he licks his lips at the sight of them. Ugh,... he's just... disgusting.

"Hey, you got any ideas who could that person be? You're one of the organizers here and you should have been given a head start." I asked Paul who was still having his champagne. Yep, the school have served us champagne as part of our social thing here, saying that it's going to be as normal soon when we have some business and events similar to this. Socialize... Heh, he might just wanna get drunk here. Dirty bastard, setting a very bad example to his students. That's why Daniel and I don't like him since we stepped into high school.

"Excuse me sir, but can you come with me to the back stage. You were being eyed on by our judges earlier and they have selected you to be the partner of the other. So if we may proceed. The principal is quite excited already." Some man in a red suit, his face covered with a funny cat mask and has a very deep voice, tapped my shoulder and whispered on my ear. I looked at Paul on what I should do but he didn't say a word. He only gave me a nod, giving me permission to leave.

I followed the man in black towards the stage where they have kept me in a separate room and told me to keep quiet, as that should make the element of surprise. They told me that the other person is just sitting next to my stall so it's better for me to keep my mouth shut for the mean time.

I could faintly hear someone speaking up on the stage, I'm guessing the principal again (how annoying), ready to announce the royals. Nerve-wrecking, my whole body is trembling as the curtain on my room was being opened and guided me out towards the dance floor. "...And here they are ladies and gentlemen, our Royals of the Night! Let's give them a big round of applause before they do their dance!" The whole place went wild as we were being revealed in front of them. I saw this person in white suit, pure, alabaster, glittering white a few feet away from me. He literally stood there for moments, I'm guessing he's waiting for me to make my move. So I went up to him and offered him my hand.

"I'm guessing you're a boy, not some lesbian trying to cross dress? May I have this dance with you, please?" He didn't answered, instead he reached my hand. The song started to play on our background, A Thousand Years as I recognize it. I pulled him the moment our hands were knotted together and a familiar surge went right through my whole body. I laid my hand on his waist, one of his arm on my shoulder, as we both raised the opposite.

We both swayed around for a few minutes but still he didn't make any eye contact with me. His mask, as white as snow, covers his eyes, hiding his true identity from me. His blonde hair seems to glow as the bright spotlight hit it. No hint of whoever this person was. I only need one glance on his eyes and I will be intrigued by his identity already.

The sweet moment filled me with the same emotion as before, when I asked Daniel to be my boyfriend the first time. We were like dancing gracefully around my ancestor's house, it was a moment to remember, a scene that should have been captured and kept in a special place. He was a terrible dancer, he would step on me most of the time. The only difference is that, the one I'm dancing right now is not Daniel. He is somebody out there, being forced by the whole panel to dance with some stranger.

The song faded as it ended, and one of the hosts of the night stood on the side, holding a microphone. "Now, it's time to reveal the true identities of our Royals before we give them a moment. Please take off your masks and show us who you really are!" He immediately stepped back, pushing me away from him. He scanned the whole room for a short while before taking a deep breath. I only sighed and waited for their countdown. 

"On our mark..." I took hold of the knot at the back of my head, "...Three..." Knot's loosened, "...Two..." Mask peels off from my face "One! And there we are ladies and gentlemen! The true identities of our Royals, Daniel Summers and Jake Andrews!" Both fell on the floor at the same time. Wait!?!?!?!?!?!? Daniel.... is...... 

The whole crowed gasped for a second before they started cheering as whistling, shouting 'kiss' at the same time. I.... My mind.... got numb.... stunned... "Kiss!! Kiss!!!" As they continue to yell at us, the hosts came to us and pushed us closer, Daniel bumping on my chest, which I caught him as if it was reflex. Should I?

We stared on each others eyes for a while, not minding whatever is around us. This feeling.... feels like it was the first time... feels like...

Before I could try to recover from my trance, my lips had already found their way on his. I don't know, but I miss his lips on mine, the taste, the soft touch. It was like they were lap dancing, moving in perfect sync with each other.

Silence.... Only silence was there as we both deepened our kiss. But then, he opened his eyes, and was started panicking. He fell on the floor, and when I tried to pull him up, he pushed my hand away and ran out. "Daniel, wait! Let me explain!" 

And then he disappeared. That feeling... Why? Why did it show up again? Why now? Why did it have to fade away and surprise me right this time?

I... still love you... Daniel...

Hell I've been quite busy even if it was a long weekend for me. *giggles* Anyhow, I would like to thank all those who have supported this story again and please do continue to do it!
