"Rose! Dinner is ready." my brother Josh called up the stairs.
I rolled off of my bed and made my way downstairs and into the kitchen. I tried to eat my dinner as quick as possible knowing that Zayn would be picking me up in 20 minutes. Zayn is my boyfriend, we have been together for just over two months. He had met my family, if talking to them for 5 minutes counted as 'meeting them'. My family didn't dislike him, they hadn't met him, but they didn't exactly like him either.
"Woah, slow down Rose." Josh laughed from across the table. I glared at him and continued eating. I sat at the table in silence with my two brothers, Josh and Jack and my parnets. Josh is 21 and Jack is 5. As soon as my plate was clear, I placed it in the dishwasher and ran back into my room. I had already changed into what I would be wearing out but just wanted to give myself a once over to make sure I looked okay. I had kept my hair straight and down. I wore a dark pair of skinny jeans and a baby pink sweater. As I walked away from my mirror, the doorbell rang.
I walked down the stairs and heard my dad at the door. I stopped halfway down the stairs and listened to their conversation. This surely would not end well.
"Where are you taking her?" My dad asked in a stern voice.
"To a place I used to go with my family, sir" Whenever Zayn spoke to my family, especially my Dad, he seemed to turn into a four year old boy who had been caught doing something wrong.
"What time will you bring here home?"
"Around 10pm." His eyes shifted to the floor as if he was scared to look my father in the eyes.
"Okay. Take care of her."
"Of course I will, Sir."
I decided at that point that I didn't want Zayn to be interrogated anymore.
"Hey." I smiled as I reached the bottom and walked over to the door. My father turned round and watched me as I walked over to Zayn as into his arms. I couldn't the smile that always seemed to appear on my face whenever I saw Zayn.
"Hi." He lightly placed his hands on my hips "You look beautiful." he whispered into my hair, cautious that my Dad wouldn't hear. He abruptly pulled away and I wondered if my father had been glaring at him. I turned around to look at my dad.
"We're gonna go. I'll see you later." I placed a kiss on my Dads cheek and grabbed Zayns hand to lead him out of the front door.
I pulled him down the street until we were out of sight of my house before I kissed him. I turned around whilst still holding his hand and laced my fingers between his. I stared into his brown eyes for a few seconds before I leaned up to meet his lips. His left hand automatically found its way onto my hip whilst my other hand found its way into his soft hair.
The usual eruption of butterflies erupted in my stomach, just like they always did when Zayn kissed me. We were stood in the middle of the street kissing and I didn't even care. Usually I would, but whenever I'm with Zayn, nothing else matters.
When I'm with Zayn it's like the rest of the world just falls away.
"I've missed you." he breathed as we pulled away, resting his forehead against mine.
"I missed you more." I whispered back. He leant down again to join our lips.
"We better get going if you have to be back by 10." He lifted our hands up to his mouth and placed a sweet kiss on the back of my hand.
One of my favourite things about Zayn was that although he was known as being dangerous and tough to other people, he was the sweetest person to me. He alway made me feel special and as if I was the only girl in the world. As if I was the only girl that mattered to him. I just wish my dad saw him like this. My family weren't aware of Zayns reputation and I wanted to keep it that way. If they found out, I'm sure they would make me stay away from him and that was something I couldn't stand the thought of.
