Once again, I apologize for any errors. I type fast. :P

My eyes were set firmly on the napkin dispenser as I tried to pull out as many napkins as I could. The machine was jammed, making it harder for them to come out. I bit my tongue in frustration, my heart jumping in my chest as a hand set down on my shoulder. All of the napkins I had collected flew to the ground.
“Oh, I’m sorry…” said a deep voice from behind me, the person’s voice sounding truly sincere. “I didn’t mean to startle you like that. I’ll get those for you.” The hand that was placed on my shoulder was removed and I could hear movement from behind me.
I spun around on my heel and quickly got down on my hands and knees. As I kneeled down, I set my gaze on the person that had shocked me. His head moved upward also and my eyes met a pair of all too familiar vivid green eyes.
My heart jumped up to my throat, making it impossible for me to breathe properly. The boy kneeling just a few inches away from me was Harry. It all made sense now. Winter did have a reason for looking alarmed just a few moments back. He was here. Right in front of me. I didn’t know what to say or how to react. I sat there like a statue.
Harry’s lips formed a grin that showed he was at ease, but his eyes told a different story. They told me that he was nervous. He set the pile of napkins into the palm of my hand before rising to his feet and holding out his hand to me. I took is after hesitating, feeling the perspiration from his palm melting into mine. “Hi, Emma…” he said quietly, swallowing hard before biting his lower lip.
I quickly pulled my hand away from his, using both of my hands to grasp tightly onto the pile of napkins I had retrieved. My eyes suddenly became occupied with the floor and I took in a sharp breath before setting my gaze on Winter who was just a few yards away. She was watching me intently, giving me an apologetic look. “I should probably get going…” I replied quietly, quickly beginning to walk away, refusing to let my eyes meet Harry’s again.
A hand grabbed onto my forearm, not allowing me to move any further. “Emma… Stop…” Harry’s voice spoke quietly, a sigh escaping his lips shortly after as he paused midsentence. “I know you’re probably still upset about what happened before, and I’m sorry. I was an idiot.”
My head turned just slightly so I could catch a quick glimpse of him. His eyes were set down on the floor and he looked upset. “You were an idiot, weren’t you?” I said coldly, holding in my breath for a few seconds before shoving his hand off of my arm and crossing my arms over his chest. It definitely wasn’t the nicest thing to say, but at the moment, I didn’t believe he deserved kindness.
The expression on Harry’s face immediately turned to something on the edge of hurt, making me feel guilty for only a quick instance. He remained silent for a few moments before finally gaining the courage to speak up again. “I was,” he began, setting his eyes on mine as he rubbed the back of his neck. “And I don’t think there’s anything I can do to make you change your mind about me again, but I’d love to try. We could try to start over, or something like that. Please…”
I couldn’t seem to be able to pull my eyes away from those bright green ones of his, so I held his gaze. There was no warmth or friendliness in my eyes, though. I took a single step backward, slowly giving him a shake of my head. “No,” I replied, my voice still loud and firm. “I don’t want to.” My feet slowly moved backward again.
Just as Harry was about to speak again, a quiet voice from behind the front counter interrupted him. “Excuse me, but if you’re going to disturb our other customers…” she paused, using her hand to motion toward a group of middle-aged adults looking irritated. “I’m going to have to ask you to step outside.” Before she looked away, she gave us an apologetic look.
Harry nodded his head, using this as an opportunity to place his hand back on my arm, pulling me toward him slightly. “That sounds great, actually,” he said, flashing the young girl a smile before dragging me toward the door and pulling it open with his free hand, dragging me outside with him and waiting for the door to shut before speaking up once again. “Why not, Emma? I’m asking for one chance to prove that I’m sorry and that I’m still the same. If I screw up again, I promise I’ll leave you alone.” Something about the look in his eyes told me he was lying, but I kept quiet about that part. He had always been easy to read.
My eyes wandered back over to the window of the ice cream shop, searching and begging for someone to come and recuse me from this conversation. I let my gaze fall on Winter. She didn’t seem to care too much about the fact that I was dying over here anymore. Instead, her eyes were set on one of the boys at a table nearby. I hadn’t even realized until now that Harry had come with the rest of the boys. She seemed to be only interested in one of them: Louis Tomlinson. And he was staring right back at her. I mentally cursed at her in my mind for the lack of attention she was giving to the situation I was in.
I pursed my lips as I turned on my heel, finally letting my eyes wander back up to Harry’s. He had a pleading look in his eyes. It was all too familiar. I flashed back to the days where Harry and I used to spend almost every moment of our lives together. Whenever he wanted something, he wouldn’t give up on it, and I was guessing he was planning on doing just that in this situation. “I’ll only agree under one circumstance,” I murmured under my breath, letting my arms cross over my chest. “All of the boys have to come with us wherever we’re going, and I’m bringing her, as well.” I used my finger to point over at an occupied Winter. “We’re not going alone.”
Harry looked as if he was going to object for a minute, but he stopped himself by biting his lip. “Fine,” he said, his eyes meeting mine again as he flipped his curly hair to the side just slightly. “Tomorrow, it is.” He said those words like I had no say on the day and time whatsoever. “And a place that will amuse all of us… How about an amusement park? I’ll pick you up at ten in the morning sharp. Be ready, because if you don’t give me this chance to make it up to you, I’ll find a way to come back.” His lips formed the slightest hint of a smirk. Stubborn, as always. Just like me.
“Fine,” I said, letting my arms fall down to my sides. “And if you screw this up, I’m not giving you another chance.” As I turned on my heel once more to face the door, I was stopped by a pair of arms that pulled me back. They were Harry’s, of course.
“I’m not going to mess up,” he murmured into my ear, sending chills down my spine. He spun me around again, wrapping his arms around my body tightly and pulling me against him. He felt so warm and I had the urge to hug him back as tightly as possible, but I held back, just limply curling my arms around him. “I’ve missed you, Emma… A lot.”
I pulled back from his arms, taking a few seconds to stare into those vibrant green eyes of his. He was being honest; it wasn’t hard to tell. Instead of replying, I just nodded my head at him, remaining silent. I let my feet lead me back to the door once again, my hand pulling the door open without another word.
“Winter, let’s get going,” I said, my voice quiet as I stared down at my feet.
Well, tomorrow was going to be quite the day.
And I admit, I was quite nervous.
