Chapter 9

Dans pov

"Tori I.. I.. He's not..."

I couldn't make out any words through the crying.

"Dan don't cry, tell me what's wrong"

She pulled me into a warm hug, and I hugged back. We held eachother so tightly it was as though I we let go we would never let go.

Eventually I stopped crying but I still felt as though I would break at any moment.

"Dan?"

She looked at me with those beautiful, innocent, brown eyes.

"Tori, I really like you"

She laughed.

"Dan I like you too! You're my best friend and-"

"No Tori, I mean really like you.

I love you."

I didn't expect to say it, but the words just slipped out. It was true though, I really did love her.

Her beautiful face was laced with confusion.

"Dan, You know I'm going out with Pj..."

Pj. That name made me sick.

"He doesn't deserve you"

I muttered this very quietly and I'm sure she heard, but pretended she didn't.

Toris pov

After a long silence, where I assume he was thinking, Dan looked at me dead in the eyes.

"Tori, let me try something."

"Sorry?"

"Just tell me if you feel it too"

"I don't understand"

"Tori, just relax"

With this he leaned in so our faces were only inches apart.

Thoughts were racing through my brain and my heart was beating fast as he gently pulled me closer.

Then his lips touched mine.

I felt the electricity in every bone of my body. There was a very tiny bit of my mind telling me this was wrong, but to the rest of my brain this was heaven.

As we kissed the world seemed to be put on pause. Everything turned to slow motion and I heard nothing over the amazing thoughts buzzing through my head.

Until I heard the hurt voice of someone very familiar.

"What's going on?!"

Dan and I pulled apart and turned.

Shit.
