"Awakened"

It was about 3 in the morning. Jake was woken up by a knock on the door. Feeling drowsy he still managed to get to the door, when he opened the door he saw nothing, he looked down and saw a package a package. Curious, he took it inside and decided to open it in the morning.

Now the time was 8 a.m. Jake woke up lively and went immedietly to the package. He then opened the box, strangely finding another box which contained tapes and with it a tape player. He taught for a moment and then decided to play it. He then went to couch and invited his friend, Rose, Rose was his bestfriend since he could remember. She was not the typical girl you would imagine, her father and mother were ex-military but they recently died in a car crash. Jake invited her to watch the tapes. Rose on the other hand taught that it was a date. She immedietly went to his home and gladly accepted the offer.

As they were about to sit down and watch the tapes the sky suddenly growed dark they just thought that it was going to rain, they proceeded to watch the tapes.

The tapes played the life of a couple who were madly inlove, Rose taught of the oppurtunity to make a move on Jake. But then the doorbell rang. Jake went to see who it was, when he opened the door he saw two persons standing there, then he recognized the two, they were the couple that they saw in the tapes. With a flash of lighting the two disappered. Jake who was frozen with fear was able to man up to tell Rose what just happened. After he told Rose what happened, Rose was amazed and shocked. But she insisted that they should watch the tapes so that they could find out what happened to them.

After they went through another 3 tapes, they learned that they were kidnapped and the people that kidnapped them did horible things to them. They deciced to stop watching just then they were frightened when a group of armed men entered Jake's house and violently throwing them into their van. The group of men then later removed their masks. One of them asked, "Do you remember us. Jake replied that they had no idea who they were. "We have been searching for you two ever since you escaped and tormented us, now were gonna do what you did to us to you two!!!" said another man. By that Jake and Rose were filled with terror.

After about Five hours of driving they stopped. The four men stepped out and in a foreign language. Rose and Jack were escorted out of the van and one of the men told them that they would have to walk all the way now. Jake and Rose were able to get a glimpse of where they were going, it seem that they were going to a prison for psychotic killers and criminals. Jake held Rose's hand said in a calming voice, "We'll get through this."

And as they went through a dark path, as they were going through the path they noticed a sign that said " TURN BACK RADIATION LEVELS HIGH" and then they saw military trucks lined up to form of what used to be like a barricade and they also saw a few bodies of dead people on the ground. One of the 4 men said to another,"We should hurry before they wake up"

They soon entered a building, the builfing was barricaded and they saw more men with guns, Jake and Rose were then taken to their leader, the leader was a tall dark figure with a mask covering his face, his body was full of scars. "You have been brought here for trial for the crimes you two have commited upon Vega City,because of the two of you, the last of us live in this god forsaken prison in fear of the creatures you have unleased upon us. Now you will be put in eternal torment."As the leader finished speaking they were dragged to what seems to be their holding cells.

When it was  night time they could hear moans and groans  from outside. Jake and Rose were only given a piece of stale bread and barely enough water for the night. They were kept in different cells which were kept  far away from each other. The cells were made of rusted but impenetrable steel and so were the doors , the only way they could go out was through the door. Jake thought all night of a way to escape. At the first sign of dawn he heard the screams of Rose as she was being dragged from her cell. After a while Jake heard sounds of suffering, it lasted for a out 5 minutes. When Jake looked through a small hole I'm the door he could see that Rose had cuts all over her and that she was bleeding heavily. Jake was now next. He searched for anything that could help him, he then saw a little sharp-pointed rusted metal piece buried in a patch of dirt, he then grabbed it and his it in his hands, when, he was taken out from his cell he was brought into another room where rusted torture tools where everywhere he then was left with one freaking scary guy. The guy was covered in dirt and blood he had scars all over his body. He then began taking a rusted knife taking it to the table where Jake was strapped in, when he was almost near Jake managed to break free from the restraints he then shoved the guy with his leg and then stabbed the metal piece in his hand to the guys head.

He then grabbed two knives from a table and a little handgun which had only five rounds in it, he then began retracing his steps to where Rose was kept in. He picked the lock with one of the knives he had with him. As he freed Rose, Rose immediately hugged and kissed him. Jake then said to Rose that they should go right now, they managed to find another door which led to a pathway away from the prison.They Ran and ran until the reached a city which was completely empty. They then took shelter in a building and felt safe for a while they then looked at each other with the same thought that:

"This is just the Beginning"
