That night, when the house went up in flames... I didn't cry. Nore did I bat an eye. I stood there, a ten-year-old girl smiling as she watched her home and family go up in flames. I probably could've helped them or at the very least went to get someone that could have! Perhaps.... But I didn't. Entranced by the screams I stood there. The night was filled with hot air even when I was taken miles away. I could still feel it, like a ghost, it haunted me. I find it funny, all the people asked if I was okay. Of course, I was, I started the fire. ...But, of course, I didn't tell them that. It would have been foolish to tell them. Instead, I stared off blankly or pretended to cry.
"She's broken." "What now?" Is all I heard them say among each other. I wasn't! If anything I was misunderstood. They didn't understand me. I loved pain. Whether it was mine or someone else, I craved it. Like a starved wolf found a juicy plump rabbit, tearing in as soon as it gets the chance. The rabbit never stood a chance.
Six years pass and I'm still that girl. Pain is my gain. That's my motto anyways. You see I was adopted by a man, who at the time, no one knew the evil hiding behind that kind smile and squinted eyes. But I did, I read him like an open book. I knew everything about him as soon as he shook my hand. Yes, and he knew that I knew, for he then trained me, taught me how to fight, ...how to kill. He is the reason I've become who I am. Normal girls go to school and worry about boys noticing them, their hair, and foolish things such as drama. I worry about spies, detectives, and disguised police. I've never gone to school since living with my father, Mr. Kilo, he homeschooled me. Teaching me everything I needed to know to survive in this polluted world. But since his passing, I've been on my own.
The association has decided to assign me to a school. My job, find and eliminate our enemy's son. I flip through his file while sitting in my limousine. The name is Unkown. Age, 17, "Huh? He's one year older than me... There is no information on his looks either?! Do they expect me to go on a wild goose chase?!" I grunt and slam the file shut.
"Mrs. y/n, we'll be arriving soon!" My driver says as he slides the darkened window back in place. Leaving me alone once again. Well, at least I can get there early, scope out the terrain. I watch the passing trees. I find it absolutely dumb to have a school in the middle of nowhere! A high-end school even! What do they have to hide in order to have the academy way out here!
I stare out noticing my reflection. My long blonde hair was done up with a blue butterfly pin, and my blue eyes glisten in the morning sunshine. Well, at least I look the part!
It was about 5 minutes until the schools front gates pulled into view. They were silver with two hedges lining the outer part. We stopped and waited for our clearance. Two minutes passed. Then five, then ten. What was taking them so long?
Bang! The drivers side window shattered. Blood burst from the right side of his head. "Shit!" I screamed as someone ripped the door to my right off.
"Well, well! Looks like we got a looker! Eh boys?" He grabs my wrist and pulls me from the car. My eyes widen as I feel a sharp pain in my neck and hear a small thud on the ground. I look down and see an empty syringe with a red liquid dripping from it. "Le-Let go!" I hit his chest as my vision starts to go black. I feel my knees buckle out from under me.
"Ugh!" Is all I heard as I was dropped to the hard ground. I used my remaining strength to open my eyes the most I could. A boy with dark hair was beating the thugs. ...Then there was nothing.... I had fallen unconscious!!
