Baby Alicorn

Chapter 1

  This contains spoilers from Neverseen and Lodestar.

                              "Foster! Foster, wake up!!"
Sophie woke up to Keefe leaning over her with his casual smirk. 
          
          "Finally! I've been trying to wake you up for an hour!" 

"Sorry,"Sophie mumbled. She had stayed up until 3:00 AM the previous night trying to recover some stolen memories.

                                "Why are you here?" 

                    "Hello to you to. Anyway, Silveny's had her baby!"

"What!" Sophie pounced off her bed scrambling to get dressed. But then she noticed Keefe was still in her room. Keefe's cheeks looked like someone poured tomatoe sauce all over them. Sophie ran as fast as lightning to hide under the covers. "Well,I guess I'll go outside now,"Keefe said. Sophie wanted to dig a hole and bury herself in it. Keefe just made it worse by yelling from outside the door,
     
   "Whoa Foster, I'm getting some mixed emotions from you!"

After Sophie ate breakfast, they made their way outside. Verdi was putting up a fight with Grady.
            " Verdi, just eat it! I promise  you'll love it!"
He said, knowing  that she would probably hate it.
            
             "Dad, do you need any help?"

Sophie said. "No I've got it,!" Grady yelled back. Now that Sophie was actually awake an idea sprang into her head."

"Wait! How do you know that the baby alicorn is here if Silveny isn't at the sanctuary?" She asked Keefe.

"Look up," Keefe said. There they were. Silveny,Greyfell, and- "Mini Glitterbutt!"

      Sophie!Sophie!Sophie!Keefe!Keefe!Baby! Silveny called down  to Sophie. Come here, safe, safe, safe, safe. Sophie Transmitted until Silveny flew down with "Mini Glitterbutt" and Greyfell. The baby alicorn looked exactly like her mom,the same silver mane that trailed up Silveny's  neck and brown eyes with gold flecks. The baby alicorn had blue tipped wings that were five times smaller than Silveny's. Come come come come come come. The baby alicorn transmitted  into Sophie's mind." Whoa, her voice is so fragile and pure," Sophie said. "How do you even know Mini Glitterbutt is a she, Keefe asked. "She told me, just like Silveny did when I first met her."Sophie said recalling the day they went looking for big foot. But instead, they found Siveny wandering around. Sophie took another step. Friend, she transmitted.

The baby alicorn trotted about 10 feet away. Grady stalked closer handing Sophie some swizzlespice. Right when Silveny saw it she told Sophie, no too little Silveny trotted towards her, nudging Sophie's hand. The hand that had been holding the swizzlespice. The key word in that sentence was had.

Even Greyfell trotted towards Sophie to get some swizzlespice. Though, Sophie could tell from the look in his eye that he didn't  completely trust her. The baby alicorn followed her parents but didn't look Sophie in the eye. Friend trust she told the baby alicorn. "So............ we need to work on her name." Keefe said. "How about..............."then it clicked." Jolie!!!!,  Jolie will be her name." Sophie declared. Grady had a pained expression on his face. "Dad.........."  "It's okay, sometimes it just gets emotional." Grady and Edaline's daughter Jolie had died in a fire started by Brant- a member of the Neverseen- a few years ago. All of a sudden Sophie got a rush through her mind. It felt like she was an empath for a moment, Sophie could feel emotions. It took Sophie a while to figure out Jolie had reached out to her.

                  "She's trying to talk to me........ what do I do?"

"She what she says," Grady replied. Sophie called out safe calm.

But the baby alicorn  transmitted  a word Sophie didn't teach her. Brother.
