    I don’t know what happened or how it ended up like this, but if you’re reading this, stop. Get the hell out, turn off your phone or device straight off, because this thing may be able to travel straight through the WiFi networks or through mobile data. I don’t want you to take your chances.
If you’re still reading this than great, you’re probably not dead or fighting off that freak show with a kitchen knife.
    Almost a few months ago I started playing a little bit of Xbox live, although something I’ve noticed is not many people talk, they just stay silent, listening to your every breath. In the beginning of those few months I met some strange kid on it, same age as me and mimicking my exact personality. I found this strange at first but then brushed it off as a coincidence. Either way it was the best friendship, we would talk practically every day and had a lot in common. We got so comfortable that I told him the town I was in, he went radio silent for the next days. That’s when it started happening.
At first it was nothing, missing pets, animals being caught in traps to be left to die. Then everything became a lot more sinister, animals were showing up at doorsteps, skinned and missing their hearts and eyes. A sight to make anyone vomit, and the smell. Somehow, it smelled along the lines of boiled blood.  I brought it up to my friend, but he would always change the subject. I again didn’t think much of it and the police got involved, they couldn’t pinpoint who was doing it, but most of the bodies were confirmed to be the missing pets.
Suddenly, it all just stopped, just like that. No words can explain the terror that ensued after. My friend went completely radio silent, suddenly disappearing again. I was getting ready to go to sleep when I heard my phone vibrate. It was a message from an unknown number, all it said was, “I’m here.” Things took a turn for the worse and I heard the TV turn on in the living room, static so loud it was practically ear piercing…..
    ….piercing. I could’ve sworn I heard garbled words from it. My phone was glitching out and making weird noises, I distinctly remembered hearing words, yelling, as if someone was trying to reach me. My phone was flashing then poof, off.
    I was terrified, after getting the courage to get back to my routine something moved in the TV, it was the shape of a human, but instead of a right hand it had a had a sharp edge, as if skin grew around a knife but stayed shard. That thing’s other hand was fairly normal, other than the fact there was a short wire sticking out from it’s wrist. It wasn’t wearing anything other than a shirt and jeans that hadn’t been washed in years. I could smell the sickening scent of blood from the TV. It went blank and the smell was gone just as quick as it came. Although the true terror was the next night.
    No word from my online buddy, I was so naive that I never thought about connecting the dots. I crept through my house, being paranoid from last night. Once I finished everything I went into the kitchen to fetch myself some water, the power went off. The next thing I know I’m starring that thing dead in the eyes. It had no pupils and looked like they never closed. Like he didn’t need to. It raised its right arm and made an attempt to slash me, I raised my hand and moved back, it struck my arm, causing it to bleed. In a panicked rush of adrenaline I took the kitchen knife on the counter and slashed it right back, scarring it across it’s face. That disgusting creep took out its wire from its left wrist and connected it to an outlet. After a white flash I couldn’t see anything.
    I’m laying on the counter bleeding out, I hope I can get this message out before I go. Don’t ever, ever, give any hint of your location. That webcrawler as I’ve named it might come for you. I think it’s coming back to finish the job. My body is probably going to end up missing a heart, skin and eyes after tonight. Bye.
