Upon hearing the rain pouring heavily on the Earth, I darted to the nearest window. I placed my palms on the cold window panes. I felt giddy that I giggled. Ignoring the unwanted attention either from the outsiders or complete strangers, I stared outside.

I saw a child with a ponytail running around in the rain, unawared with her red gown getting soaked in water. With a bright smile pasted on her face, she kept playing and playing alone. "Eunji, we want to play too!" I heard chimes echoed from the right. Then, a bunch of children ran towards her.

They had a tag game together. The girl, Eunji was chosen to be the chaser; she lost in rock-paper-scissor game. She always be the chaser; she always loses, but she didn't care. What she did care was only playing with her friends. She chased and chased her friends whom kept themselves away from her reach. She stretched her hand, longer and longer and... finally! She had tagged her prey!

I watched them silently. They jumped around and into the puddles of water. Splash! They were drenched in water, plus they were in the rain for a long time. Chuckles and giggles echoed from them. I smiled from ear to ear. "I miss them," I murmured sadly.

Soon, the children stopped playing. One by one bid their goodbye until there was only one left, Eunji. "Eunji, come back home!" A boy ran towards her and grab her small hand. She followed him and left. I looked up to the sky. The sun started to show itself behind the grey cloud. I sighed bitterly. "Finally, it has gone," I spluttered.

"Eunji-ah! Continue your job," called my coworker, Seokjin. Pouting, I trudged to the counter, picked the ragged cloth and continued the daily routine. Taking the orders, waiting at the counter, serving the meal, wiping the table and repeating the task. Yeah... My life is boring.

Well, I enjoyed the rain as much as others enjoyed the summer. It brought me nostalgic feeling; the innocent childhood life. It distracted me from the reality; the cruel world that happens everyday. It calmed me with the pleasant memories that flashing in my mind.

I wish I could come back to the past....

As I buried myself with cleaning the tables, the sun moved nearer the horizon. Without me realized, my shift finally ended. After checking and making sure that everything was cleaned and arranged neatly, I pulled a key out from my sling bag and locked the door.

"Want to come back home together?" I shrieked and jumped backward. Putting my hand on my chest, I turned back and met a smiley gentleman. I felt relieved before changing to anger.

"Yah! Don't scare me like that, Hakyeon-ah!" I hit his chest. He chuckled while held my wrist, stopping me from hurting him further more. He caressed my cheeks and kissed my forehead.

"I'm sorry but I'm worried about you. Now, should we go back to home?" He wriggled his eyebrow. I nodded sheepishly.

No... I wish this moment remains with me and Hakyeon stays beside me forever...
