Chapter 1;
A cool breeze brushed over my face, sweeping the tendrils of hair out of my eyes. I'd left the window open last night, I always enjoyed the chill that entered in the mornings; the cold had never bothered me. Light seeped through the glass, bathing me in a blanket of sun, coaxing me out of my sheets. I slipped my feet from under the fresh linen, placing them on the icy floor.

A cold blast hit the window, revealing a panoramic view of Arendelle. The frost had thawed now, leaving behind a beautiful sight. Rivers trickled down the rolling hills, diving under ornate bridges, awash with elegance. A smile settled over my face and I was in no rush to banish it.

Turning away from the window, I caught sight of the dress I had fashioned from ice, it was my proudest creation. Complete with long sleeves and a train, it was a pale shade of blue, interrupted with shimmering snowflakes resting in the folds. My small frame slid into the fabric, it felt Soft on my skin. I tied my hair in a loose braid, letting it fall over my shoulder.

On my shelf sat a dull grey box, it housed my crown. Removing it from the box I placed it on my head but I soon tossed it aside, racked with guilt. Arendelle had endured many hardships under my reign; I did not deserve to be queen.

I heard a strange ruffling downstairs, I usually wouldn't be worried but this noise sounded quite different to the blur of unopened mail I had grown accustom to.

I wasn't nervous. I was aware of my capabilities. They scare me sometimes, the way I lose control, they have no connection to my thoughts. My powers don't feel what I feel. They are different from me, I feel the pain of their actions while they smile proudly at their work.

The ice in my blood pumped faster, flooding my veins with adrenaline. Peering over the doorframe slowly, I saw the reason behind the noise.
